Been up and running a couple of hours

I hope it didn’t brick my device :( I’m afraid to remove it from the charger now.

Edit: I was able to hard reset it and everything seems ok now. I’m so relieved

So they updated the California watch face:

  • "Off-white" has been renamed to "Cream"
  • The Cream watch hands color has been changed from orange to white
  • They've added a "Pink" face option (see screenshot)
  • They've added all colors as options for the pills and text (but only with a black background - screenshot attached)
That last one is so annoying!! If we could change the background color to whatever we want, and then change the pills/text to anything as well, this face would be amazing.

Probably been covered but I'm getting like 6 hours of battery life on my 2.5 year old Series 2 with PB 2.

(Not complaining just sharing for others who might not want to make that compromise)

Huge battery drain. Went to bed with 95%, woke up 6h later, with 45%, beta 2, series 1. I'll update to beta 3, when I get home

Looks like the outer pills have been sharpen up a bit. Quite a bit actually. I like it !!

I had to type my iTunes password from the Apple Watch itself. It gives me the option to insert text via iOS device.

It is a thing in beta 2 already. Not new for beta 3.

Now im stuck at this lol

Yeah, I had that issue. I even tried to install it via the Apple Watch itself. But unlocking the Apple Watch helped my cause...

I don’t know why it wasn’t reading that I was on WiFi, but it’s beta... so I can’t really fault it being buggy.

Nope. I need to go to setting and general, software update and it says that it will resume when i connect to a wifi

It seems that in beta 3, or watchOS 6 in general, your Apple Watch, instead of your iPhone, must connect to a wifi network. It can be a new one, or a network used by iPhone. I believe what the notification tells is Apple Watch needs to be connected to Wifi, whereas in watchOS 5 and before, the software is transferred via Bluetooth (or wifi, after using that disable Bluetooth trick, but basically Watch is connected to known Wifi).

Battery drain seems about the same as beta 2. Ending the day with roughly the same amount on my series 4 stainless steel 40mm.

I just installed beta 3 on my Series 4. Third party apps now load instantly. Used to be a little bit of a loading time for Messenger or Outlook but now it just opens almost like the native apps do. This is how it should have been from the beginning!

I’m seeing some more than usual, but to be expected on a beta.

They really borked this Beta 3. Bunch of complications stopped working that were working in Beta 2.

Try restarting the watch. Whenever I lost any complications on a beta, they came back.

Second that, none of the features they're adding will benefit me.

I was kind of hoping for some performance gains, the workout app on my Series 2 is lagggggy

And battery life!! iOS 13 is supposed to be lighter with memory. I have been wondering if the same applies to watchOS 6 but with all they’re adding, I doubt it.

Battery with noise app on a aw 4, 44mm. From 4:49 pm with 59% battery it went to 52% at 5:50pm and 45% at 7:40 pm (then turned off.). Still drains a lot of battery, but in B2 was dropping almost 20% battery in an hour, so it’s getting better. Apple Watch with modular compact face and one circle complication is the noise app.

Lol, I went to check the time today on beta 3 and noticed my watch had randomly started re-pairing itself to my iPhone. Let that finish and everything was normal

As I said, betas have a more drain that stable builds, so it’s really pointless to judge until GM. This happens every year. People never learn.

Beta 3 seems quite good for me, no major issues so far...
yes, a bit of battery drain, some display glitches in watch app on iPhone, i.e. the new solar face does not display nicely in the iPhone watch app preview

Only thing I found, I can't switch between list view and cloud view for apps anymore, stuck on list view, force touching does nothing

EDIT: solved by a forced restart!
