Thanks for the feed back. Maybe now is too soon to bite the bullet with watchOS 6On an s1, I get less than 50% battery life.
(This has been going on since beta 1)
(Disabling Bluetooth on the watch helps a lot)

could he possibly get a cellular Apple Watch and use it, or does it still require an iPhone?
Yeah, he can get a cellular Apple Watch. But unfortunately it still require an iPhone in order to function.
Regardless the Apple Watch having a stand-alone AppStore, the idea with that.. is just trying to push for more Watch Apps. But imo, the Apple Watch will be dependent on the iPhone for years to come.
My belief is simple, it helps Apple to sell both devices. It’s a lock-in move, similar to the iMessage approach.
Beta 4 seems to have restored my S3 to pre-beta battery life. Stability is perfect.Hi. How is beta 4 for stability and battery life?
I would also like to know please.Does anyone know if Walkie Talkie is working now in iOS13? I don't have anyone with an updated watch to try it out. Thanks!

Just curious, and I suspect the answer is still no, but a relative of mine has an Android phone.
With watchOS 6 getting a dedicated app store, could he possibly get a cellular Apple Watch and use it, or does it still require an iPhone?

I read your first sentence and thought "Oh, cool", then read your second sentence. I think he's enjoying the Android ecosystem for his phone, so I don't think he'll be switching back to iPhone any time soon, even if he'd like an Apple Watch.
Thanks for answering though!
An argument could be made that by selling Apple Watches to non-iPhone users could actually entice them to switch more than by using a lock-in move.
I believe they will be uncoupled some day, but it may be a few years before that happens.
I can use my Apple Watch without the iPhone except during initial set up and software updates. For that you need an iPhone compatible with iOS 13.Just curious, and I suspect the answer is still no, but a relative of mine has an Android phone.

Not sure what luck your going to have trying to get an Apple Watch to access the stuff on the Android device.
Your post wasn’t clear on that. You talked about watchOS6 in present tense, as if you’re using it now.
My watch has started behaving a little strange since installing the OS6 betas.
I can have the watch on all day but it may think I've removed it several times throughout the day, requiring me to input my password.
Has anyone else had similar issues?

Have you definitely got the strap tight enough? Also, if you get overly sweaty that can cause problems with the watch thinking it’s not on you anymore.
hi guys pardon me to ask this,is there a watchos 6 public or for non developer account update?thanks
I agree, very good beta for me on my S4.
Did have a blip yesterday, my watch battery ran out in 9 hours. Not sure how or why though.
They have added AppleSeed testers to wOS this year. So my see a public in the next year or 2.nope. they've never done public betas for the watch. I think because it's impossible to revert back once committed.
