I know! Considering that a huge number of English words are from Germanic languages, French, Norse, Spanish and Latin one would think that Americans would be less ignorant. Sadly such is not the case.

Maybe that is the reason. We are exposed to such a variety of spellings and pronunciation rules it is hard to know which one to apply at any given time. On top of that you have cases where the local population has standardized on some pronunciation different from the original and that pronunciation has changed over time.

My God, Apple is so unoriginal now. Not only does it stench of Microsoft, the X makes the picture look like it was meant to be crossed out.

Ever heard of something called a double entendre? The sign has a dual meaning. Guess what those are?

You know people have nothing to do until WWDC when half of the posts on this is about what its going to be named...

OS X Sea Lion

OS X Wave

...

how about OS X It Doesn't Matter

Hmm, everything might look better with an X.

People can say what they want about Apple, but they make some beautiful things! I love that banner!

This comment is why we need not only down-voting, but quite possibly a 'vote to ban' option.

Any Helvetica looks hideous and old fashioned to me. I can only hope they didn't select this for the System Font!! I want a font with a slashed Zero and I want something modern, techy clean, and small.
LET the USER CHOOSE THE FONT FFS!!!
I've had to go to the effort to mod my own system font.

Looks like this, in small form.

Absolutely. Because "radio" is the very first thing that pops into my mind when I see a giant wall of water.
