My guess is Apple won't release 2.0 until everything is working with MobileMe. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see 2.0 until Friday, Thursday at the earliest.

But 'everything' won't be working with MobileMe if 2.0 isn't released already.

I mean Apple won't be wanting ignorant people installing 2.0 then calling in and complaining some features don't work (ex. Push email). Apple will want to make sure all the behind the scenes stuff is working on MobileMe before releasing 2.0

It would be like releasing a new version of iTunes without the iTunes store working.

its the first thing at the bottom in other notes

yes but its more evidince to that 2.0 may hint as well thats why i put that here too.

no, he means that originally it was not given one whereas 2.0 was said to be released on the 11th, in an apple press release. it was not till a few days ago that mobile me got its finalized release date

This statement is not true. The original press release stated MobileMe would be released June 11th see: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2008/06/09mobileme.html . The thing is it does not say what time zone. July 11th in New Zealand is July 10th in the United States (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclo...=11&year=2008&hour=8&min=0&sec=0&p1=22&p2=224). The iPhone goes on sale there 24 hours and 17 minutes from now - meaning 2.0 will need to be out as well,

As has been said before, it says "on" not "from". If MobileMe were released today it would still be "available on July 11th".

Yeah you apparently did not get the point that the press release dates mean nothing - thats why I pointed it out.

Hopefully the iPhone 3G press release means nothing as well, with that also saying "on July 11" for 2.0. I really do hope it's released with 7.7 later today.
