My guess is Apple won't release 2.0 until everything is working with MobileMe. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't see 2.0 until Friday, Thursday at the earliest.
But 'everything' won't be working with MobileMe if 2.0 isn't released already.

I mean Apple won't be wanting ignorant people installing 2.0 then calling in and complaining some features don't work (ex. Push email). Apple will want to make sure all the behind the scenes stuff is working on MobileMe before releasing 2.0
It would be like releasing a new version of iTunes without the iTunes store working.
more evidence that firmware 2.0 may hit tonight itunes 7.7 is expected Very shortly http://www.tuaw.com/2008/07/09/apple-itunes-7-7-available-in-a-few-hours/
no, he means that originally it was not given one whereas 2.0 was said to be released on the 11th, in an apple press release. it was not till a few days ago that mobile me got its finalized release date
This statement is not true. The original press release stated MobileMe would be released June 11th see: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2008/06/09mobileme.html . The thing is it does not say what time zone. July 11th in New Zealand is July 10th in the United States (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclo...=11&year=2008&hour=8&min=0&sec=0&p1=22&p2=224). The iPhone goes on sale there in 24 hours from now - meaning 2.0 will need to be out as well,
(From link: Pricing & Availability
MobileMe, available on July 11, is a subscription-based service with 20GB of storage for $99 (US) per year for individuals and $149 (US) for a Family Pack, which includes one master account with 20GB of storage and four Family Member accounts with 5GB of storage each. Users can sign up for a free, 60-day MobileMe trial at www.apple.com/mobileme and current .Mac members will be automatically upgraded to MobileMe accounts. MobileMe subscribers can purchase an additional 20GB of storage for $49 (US) or 40GB of storage for $99 (US) annually.)
As has been said before, it says "on" not "from". If MobileMe were released today it would still be "available on July 11th".
Yeah you apparently did not get the point that the press release dates mean nothing - thats why I pointed it out.
