Just logged into mine with an @me.com email... the Find My iPhone is pretty cool - although it should be Find My Devices since mine shows iPads/iPhones and MacbookPro's...

And the fact that you can Reset Photostream from the iCloud settings makes me think that photo access can't be too far away.

Why is iCloud so complicated to use??! Is there a good in-depth tutorial anywhere that outlines all of the iCloud functionality and how it actually functions??

Things like.... Why did I have to create an @icloud.com email yet I have to use my @gmail.com to login to iCloud. What is the purpose of this other email? And then, how can I do a clean restore from iCloud to my iPhone instead of doing the restore that ppl claim copies over obsolete files? Why can't I access everything that is backed up to iCloud.com? Those are just a few..

Now the embarrassing notes program is online! wow! I can amaze kids with how real the notes program looks like their paper notes! they will stand in amazement at my graphic card! Back to the 90!

For whatever reason, they completely changed the colors on the calendar app. Now all the separate colors are much more subtle and hard to see. Why did they do this? It was clearer the other way.

Mail on iCloud.com still doesn't do conversation view like Mail.app and Gmail web app. Useless.

I just don't understand Apple. All the icons are consistent between iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, and iCloud but they decided to revamp the icons on iPod nano. It just does not make logical sense. It just really bugs me not understanding why they did it!!!

I think it's to differentiate it from iOS. Notice how the previous Nano had a background JUST like iOS 5?

Maybe they're trying to get over that mistake. It does seem a bit deceitful. (O here's your Nano with something that looks like iOS, but it ISN'T lol!)

Now it's completely different. To me it says "I'm a music player, I'm different from the other ones. DOn't expect an app store from me in any way, shape or form"..

Now please start syncing the following —

iOS keyboard shortcuts
Notification settings
Keyboard layouts

Reading Lists.
Podcasts.
iTunes U.

With badges too. :p

EDIT: seems like Calendar didn't sync calendars I subscribed on my Mac? Anyone confirm?

Then why did the previous generation iPod nano icons consistent with all the other product lines? All they had to do is use the same icons for this newer model. :(
These icons are beautifully done, the new ones are crap!

Because the new nano is a lot more iOS-like, and having the same icons could confuse people that it runs iOS.

If you thought skeuomorphism looked bad on iOS devices, then get ready for iCloud.com

It really looks truly terrible and out of place online. Apple really need to start moving away from this aesthetic.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the sudden disappearance of the pictures in my Notes app :(

Looks like the ability to share a reminder list has been lost. Hopefully just an oversight and will come back shortly.

My initial reaction was "at last!". Now it's "ugh."

That Notes webapp is alpha-test quality.

1) It uses that new default fussy script font, with no option to change it.
2) I have a few notes that I've applied some styles to (originally using Mail, more recently updated with the OS X Notes app), and those styles are trashed/ignored in this webapp. One is a list with a few different colors applied, and a smaller type size so it'll fit on the iPhone screen better. Items are randomly displayed in either Times or FussyScript, and there are several blank lines inserted between some items. The style mark-up on these can't be that complicated, and they've rendered fine on iOS and in Mail and Notes for OS X.

This webapp is several years late... and still not ready.

I like the round icons. i wish we had an option to select the square or round ones.

The interface needs a little variety. I am getting a little tired of the same old same old.

Some people are never happy with ANYTHING. Whine, whine, whine.

seriously; should everyone just accept whatever's given to us? isn't one of the points of these forums to express opinions?

i love apple products (well, 'sincerely like'), but that doesn't mean i have to agree with every decision, or love everything.

having an opinion...no harm in it... :D

Shared Reminder Lists

I used to be able to see and manage the sharing of Reminder lists within the Calendar iCloud app. Those lists have been moved to the Reminder iCloud app now. However, I don't see anything anywhere that allows me to continue sharing Reminder lists.

Edit: It looks like it's gone for now but will be back soon. Dumb how they do that.

Excellent. Thanks for the link.

And now it's "fixed" the note by stripping all of the style info out of it, including on my phone. This is is the kind of thing that Apple employees used to get fired over. Not that I'm saying they should be, but it certain seems like things have changed.

Is it still a "heavy" website that runs like crap?

Outlook.com kicks the crap out of iCloud webmail I have to say. With built in skydrive too where you can upload actual files.

Problems galore

I don't even want to talk about the interface, but it is just horrible. I have used many programs from apple over the years and so far iCloud is the worse thing I have ever seen.

But seriously on a usability side. Problems:
First Reminders: When the task list used to show up in the calendar view you could click on the "share" button in the list on the right and share your tasks with another icloud user. Now that there is a separate web app this is now gone. So how do I share a task list with my wife? The ones that were shared before show up but I can not add a new shared list.

Calendar: Other than the ugly skin, when I get an invite there is no tangable link to the new event other than a badge on the calendar icon on the home screen. Not too big a deal if you only have a couple of things in your calendar. But when you have a lot there doesn't seem to be any indication of how to accept or which one it is that you have been invited. I figure it out by double clicking in the month view which gave me a pop up so that I could accept the invite. But I navigated in and out of the web app several times and did not see any indication of the invite status. Also it no longer sends you a confirmation email. So if you don't have your phone or are not log into icloud you will not see it.

Possible I am missing something, but the online help is still referencing the old interface. Apple has really dropped the ball IMHO worse I think than the mobileme transition. I didn't have any issues with that everything just continued to work. I have spent more time trying to figure stuff out that should just work. Email should not stop working just because the host server changed.
