same here. tried it via the icloud control panel and on the website. emails sent to it bounce back as well with "unknown or illegal alias" error. i'm hoping the addresses are automatically rolled into iCloud i'm going to be pissed if i don't get my same alias. don't have an ios device either so their wording in the beta notes are a little vague as to whether you can get the address with just a mac or you need to do it through iOS.
