iPod touch Week 38 = Good iPods?

The ones I saw at the Apple store last week was the Macy Gray box (I guess, not the one pictured above). The Touches on display were flawless... hmmmmm...

Got mine today. 9C738 serial, Corinne Bailey Rae on the Box. No screen issues that I can see.

I say go for it. You can tell us if that box type has a good screen so we know it's week 38's. You'd be able to exchange it if it has problems anyways since Apple is starting to admit it...

it doesnt matter who is on the box. I have the girl in the white dress and my video is beautiful. I have a week 38, thats what matters.

deal with what exactly? if youve got a rubbish screen you take it back and get a week 38 model.

I took my week 37 (my 3rd one) back for a week 38 and now I am happy to report I have no screen problems.

The serial numbers for the defective units began 9C737xxxx

9C738xxxx should be good ones

Just to make sure it's clear, there are also defective units (like mine) which begin 9C736.

yes but I didn't buy one from apple, I bought one from best buy and I feel that people at best buy are not the most informed bunch of people and to add to that there Isnt a best buy with a 16gb iPod in my state and there is no apple store.
