As of this past weekend it's now spring (or fall down south)! The warm days, the afternoon daylight, the ground thawing out and becoming green, flowers blooming. Not here! We've already gotten a lot of snow since the equinox, coming off about two feet last week!

My last contest was in January, when the ground was dry and the air was warm and I wanted to see some winter pics. Now it's March and the ground is snowy and the air cold! Let's see pics of spring! Whatever that means wherever you are.

Here's a glimpse at our snow for the year, it didn't really get going until last week:

And a bonus pic from yesterday's "spring" storm:

Standard rules apply.

Follow all relevant local laws regarding stay-at-home orders. If you can't go outside, try and take a photo at home or grab one from the archives.
  • Do not comment, vote, react or click “like” on images prior to the winners being announced.
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, check the dates in the title.
  • At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
  • Contest ends at the end of 3/29/20, Mountain US time.

I was going through hitting that “like” button like nobody’s business. I think I saved myself though :). Coming off two feet of snow here in Denver last week, a gentler hit overnight and spitting snow the rest of the week. Springtime in the Rockies! Love seeing the sun and green. A while yet before any real green around here.

I'll certainly accept metal springs as well! Or if you're in the Southern Hemisphere I suppose autumn could work...

@mollyc - hang in there. Today's the last day. There are a bunch of likes but none from you or me. One of them is from someone that knows better. Perhaps our curse is lifted!

Being the friend and gentleman I am, I won't publicly point a finger at @someoldguy.

Oops.
LOL! Just as my finger was hitting the button for the "heart" reaction to a certain shot, my eyes fell on the post beneath that one, I read the first line and I thought, "oops!!" and hastily undid my action......saved in the nick of time!! Whew......

Thank you for being a gentleman , and friend . The situation has been resolved . Too many people point fingers at me , especially when I'm driving.
