iPhone XS Max Weird edges on Xs Max?

Not sure if this is just my model or not, but the edges of the Xs Max seems quiet... sharp?

To explain lol, on my X running my finger from the screen, over the edge and to the side of the phone, you would almost not feel anything - like the screen ran into the side. But on this Xs Max, it feels like it's almost not joining, and there's a very distinct, hard edge line - almost like the screen isn't attached to the side properly. Is this just mine, or are others experiencing the same?

But seriously. I’m sure it’s within build tolerance and it’s fine.

If in doubt ask at the Apple store.

If I receive a iPhone Xs which looks like that it’s going back, you shouldn’t be paying £1,100+ for a phone which looks like this, return it for a replacement is my advice

Hahaha not trying to start a gate, and not a huge deal, just don't know whether it was a build quality issue on mine alone and should get it switched out or if that's just how it is.

Is it just on the sides or the rounded top too? Did u check some out at the store too?

Only slightly apparent on the edges, but very apparent on the sides.

My first 8 Plus hat that last year, too. I went to the Apple Store and they replaced it with new/sealed unit right away.
So I would just contact Apple.

It sounds like you’ve definetly got a defective unit, I’d return it

If the edges feel sharp or is ‘Uncomfortable’ to hold. Then Thats not how Apple intended it to be. You have 14 days to return/exchange, make the decision that works best for you.

This happened with the iPhone X as well. For me it was the stainless steel. It was rough in one spot, and very noticeable since everywhere else was so smooth. I was able to easily smooth it out with Mother’s Mag polish and it was perfectly fine after that.

If it’s the black plastic separator, you probably can’t do anything about that. But Apple would exchange it for you. I remember seeing posts about that last year.

My launch day iPhone X had this issue, but I decided to keep it. My 2nd X did not have this issue. I chalked it up to being an early unit. It never got worse and since it's always in a case it didn't bother me.

Getting an XS Max delivered today; I will definitely be checking but don't expect to have the issue.

I think my main concern was the waterproofing. If there was a problem with the screen being elevated and I got any water underneath, I’m positive they’d laugh in my face if I tried to exchange it lol.
