That’s an easy one surely? They normally all go for the “ special “ colors regardless of if they like it or not. Or the ones that all over YouTube.Don’t forget “which color should I get?”

It should be easy but that question always pops up. Then there are the “exchanging for a different color” threadsThat’s an easy one surely? They normally all go for the “ special “ colors regardless of if they like it or not. Or the ones that all over YouTube.
And left/right/up swipe - sure, but what's different to a modern, button-less Adroid device then? You have to swipe there, too, as there ain't any buttons... I use a S20 as my work phone and I might be swiping on there more than I do on iOS.
I'm in blissful ignorance. I've never had an Android phone. I started with Apple on the iPhone 4s, and never looked back. Since then, I've had various models and am now on the 11Pro. Not yet decided if I'll get the 13, or wait for the 14.
For me, as mentioned, I have no experience of Android, so cannot possible compare the two. I enjoy various aspects of the apple eco-system however, using HomeKit, HomePod, iPad and iPhone etc. It all works for me. But the clincher...? Privacy.
I've never seen (and please correct me if I'm wrong) any advert from Google about privacy being "built-in".
There are downsides to privacy, and a price to pay. For example, many people couldn't understand why Apple didn't offer the "swipe" keyboard (I'm not a fan of it anyway), but I recognise that by denying developers access to tamper with the keyboard, they're maintaining control over what happens on the device, therefore helping to ensure that all important (to me) privacy and security.
For the OP - good for you. I hope you get everything you want from Android.
I'm pretty tech savvy, but I get confused trying to use my wife's new iPhone at times as well. How the heck am I supposed to close an app?
Swipe up from the bottom to return to the Home Screen. Can you elaborate on this? How are you closing apps?
Says the guy who informed us he traded in his Samsung for an iPhone...The way of the world these days ain’t it ? Validation.
If you are using an iPhone that has a physical home button, you would press the home button and that would take you to the home screen. On iPhones without a physical home button, you would swipe from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen to go to the home screen. iOS and Android share some of the same gestures like close an app, kill off an app, switch between apps.I'm pretty tech savvy, but I get confused trying to use my wife's new iPhone at times as well. Tap on the menu bar that is displaying the website web address. That will either be at the top or bottom of the screen depending on where the Safari tab bar has been configured to be displayed in Settings.Trying to get the URL/Search bar to show up on Safari? Huh?
Awww, need a hug 🤗.Says the guy who informed us he traded in his Samsung for an iPhone...
Sir/Ma'amNo offense to OP, but I've noticed that many of the less tech-savvy (often older) folks prefer the universal applicability of Android's back button (or gesture nowadays). It's easy to understand and works everywhere.
Meanwhile, Apple doesn't do a good job highlighting that you can go back within an app by just swiping from the left. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough. Swipe left to go back in the app, swipe up to close / minimize the app. But I think Apple really has a problem with discoverability of features like this. It seemingly started when 3D Touch was introduced, they simply failed to introduce an indicator to make it more obvious to users where the option could be used.

What‘s a ‘special colour’? The new one? Personally I go for the colour I like best. This year that happened to be the sierra blue, which is coincidentally the new colour. Not bothered if people wanna judge me for it.
At this point, every new iPhone release is an incremental upgrade. The 12 wasn’t much different from the 11, just added flat sides.
Imagine needing to announce to other people why you've made a personal decision. Great, Android works better for you. Anything else?
