see what I mean?

OK, so to get non-political I have to say what annoyed me the most in many years was Simon Cowell's first season of American Idol.

What's even worse was I eventually got used to him and even missed him when he left the show.

when people are not educated on gays and transgenders.

You have some out there who think all gay people are transgender or vice versa. IIRC, I did like Wesley Snipes' description of drag queen, transvestite, and transgender or something to that effect in To Wong Foo.

1. When two or three people decide to walk two or three abreast down a hallway/sidewalk leaving little to no room for someone walking in the opposite direction. What, do they expect others to stop and stand sideways against the wall to let them pass?

Sorry, if the inner most person doesn't make a polite gesture and attempt to yield to opposite passers then neither do I anymore. We will meet.

2. People who blurt and interrupt. It happens quite often in business meetings or small groups. I've resorted to sarcastically saying, "I'm sorry for talking while you're interrupting. Please go on."

Yeah, I can definitely be confrontational with rude people.

Ha! That's fantastic! Wish I was as confrontational as you, although it seems like it'd make the situation more awkward in said small group environment.

Agree with your other point too.

The NSA eavesdropping on millions of phone calls in Germany. What are we? The enemy?

And France (the new best friends re Syria until things changed yet again), and Spain, and the divinity I don't quite believe in knows who else......not clever....

Fair point. And touché. Well said....

But it may yet come with a slight sting attached: The next time the US wants willing allies prior to embarking upon yet another witless and thoughtless foreign adventure, they may receive the reply that 'there are no allies, only [mutual] interests.' And find few volunteers.....

People who get emotional after something has happened, like the emotion can undo what was done.

Gosh. What an unremittingly depressing, ill-tempered and relentlessly negative thread. Exactly the kind of thing that just adds to the miasma of misery on a wet Sunday morning.....

Get over yourselves, guys. Most of what you describe are peeves, or petty inconveniences in the wider scheme of things.......

Honestly, reading it, I cannot but come to the conclusion that the thread should perhaps, be re-titled "What ANNOYS You The Most In My Safe, Boring Corner Of The First World"

People who post in non-default font, use colors without a good reason, or use very big/small font sizes.

You choice in font makes me dizzle when I tried to read it, so I didn't.

Why do you think that an emotional response to something is intended to undo what caused it?

If it does nothing to fix the problem why go through all the drama? The energy you spent getting emotional would better be put towards fixing the situation.

Very Vulcan of you. :D

On a more serious note leaving out the God part this is more the thing:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

You cannot change what is in the past even if it's a second ago, so there is no sense in getting excited about things that have already happened. If something that just happened pissed you off as yourself if getting pissed of will make things better, if it will not then don't. If you just had a fender bender getting angry or sad about it will not get your car fixed but a call to the police and your insurance agent will.

Why do you think the purpose of an emotional reaction is to change its cause?
