What I think Apple need to do is essentially expand the iPhone product line into three products.

So basically make Apple like Microsoft to confuse a crap load of people.

What Apple needs to do is give away free the MacMini > Great press
What Apple needs to do is give away free the iPod > Great press
What Apple needs to do is give away free the Mac Pro > Great press
What Apple needs to do is give away free the Mac Air > Great press

Cmon man...could u imagine the amount of press apple would get?? Apple needs media attention right about now... And what better way then to come up with an ingenious gimmick to give away the next iPhone for free to whomever wants it. Just show up at an apple store on launch day and take one for you, your brother, and your mom (limit of 3 per person). Even have some apple employees out front shooting them out of t-shirt cannons into the crowd. Awesome right? Every channel would have it as the lead story. And Apple and iPhone will be well on their way to becoming a household name.
