iCloud. Because this is what makes the difference between the Apple world and the rest of the computer world. I can tie 11 devices together so they work as one "IT system" where my data are there on all devices (when relevant). That is only possible with Apple iCloud.

If if ever worked. iCloud has been nothing but a huge headache for me with syncing across devices.

Apple Watch Ultra

My battery anxiety is finally over. I can go for a 30 minute run even if I'm in the red and not worry about it. I'd still like longer battery life, but this has been huge.

Oh no I don’t like this at all. Apple products are tools like any other. They’re cool tools that I enjoy using them, but I’m not thankful for them.

This feels like some real cult-of-apple stuff.
Yea I might be somewhat thankful for cellphones in general, but not any specific brand.

Yep, it's the sort of article you see when there's no real news and no interesting rumours but you still need to produce something.
Yea so dead today at work, and it's just a bunch of Black Friday and new comments on older articles

The Mac.

I've been "I'm a Mac" since 1986. It's transformed desktop computing. When I use Windows or Linux I feel crippled and stymied by the crude GUIs. In spite of the slow death of the Jony Ive minimalist hunt-and-peck GUI macOS is still far more customizable and easier to user.

My first Mac was only emulated on my Atari Mega ST. The software worked pretty well and even faster that on an original Apple classic back then. Even the corners on the monitor were suddenly rounded. Then I switched to second hand Apples, some Classic II and laptops before buying the first new iMac.

The iPad Pro. It's changed a huge amount of my paper management and meetings workflow.

I have several apple products, all very good at what they do but with equally good alternatives out there. The IPad however really excels as a consumer product. (I`ve had the 2, the 3, was there ever a 4?, and now an IPad pro).

Next in line would be the macbook pro.

Thanks for the info.

In what way does your M1 MacBook Air blow away your 2015 MacBook Pro?
Apps open (and run) much quicker (ymmv) for Logic Pro, Photos (15000 + photos) and Safari. Don’t get me wrong; the 2015 was a great machine. And it was loaded in all departments; but the M1 is…well, snappier. Have had it for 4-5 months now and I am still thrilled with it. Logic Pro is probably the most taxing app I run.

Edit: included size of Photo library.

Welcome to the Sanctuary. This won’t hurt a bit.

With the Thanksgiving holiday set to take place in the United States tomorrow, we thought we'd ask MacRumors readers about their preferred Apple products, both from 2022 and earlier.

What Apple product are you most thankful to have? Is it the Apple Watch with its health tracking features, or the iPhone that keeps you in touch with friends and family? Is it the AirPods Pro and their noise canceling technology?

Do you love the HomePod mini with its Apple Music integration, the Apple TV for bringing you your favorite content, or the Mac for getting work done? Let us know what Apple product you rely on most in the comments below.

Beyond what you already own, what are you planning to get in 2023, and what are you most looking forward to?

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate the holiday from all of us here at MacRumors.

I’m most thankful for my 27” iMac.

I would say my Apple Watch, because of its health checking and also but by no means least, the ability to contact emergency services if you fall or have a crash and now satellite tracking, for my money this is my most important Apple device. The Apple Watch saved/helped my wife when she had a fall down stairs at her workplace. I am very thankful for Apple Watch.

Another vote for Apple Watch. I originally thought it was just a kinda neat item I would try out and see if was useful for me. But aside from the fitness data, I just like the little things that it does. Like getting Siri to set alarms and appointments using it. And being able to snooze and stop the alarm from the watch.

Also most nice that when I go into stores that accept Apple Pay, I can just pay using my watch. No need to get out the phone at all. Just tap the button twice and put it to the scanner and *poof* item paid for and am on my way. Very, very convenient at times. Probably maybe outside of the iphone, my favorite Apple purchase.

30 pages of mostly drivel. I mean, if I was going to be thankful for something from Apple, it would be the Apple Watch 4 that detected my AFIB (which I thought was total BS but I went to the doctor to check it out and it turned out to be legit). That’s a legit thing to be thankful for. But when I weigh it in the balance of the rest of Apple’s actions.. there’s nothing really rating “thankful” when I compare it to the forced obsolescence policies that are forcing me to replace 2 old (and granted, showing their age) expensive computers when security updates finally stop and the subtle bugginess in the software designed to “make life easier for me”. So, their goodwill is spent.

As long as he/she has to answer to the Street it won’t matter who is in charge. The end game of every company seems to be profit maximization by charging for products and services and delivering nothing.
