I picked up:
+ Sketches
+ Movies.app
+ BoxOffice
+ MPG
+ AOL Radio
+ Pandora
+ Where
+ Remote (Apple)
+ FlashLight
These apps are extremely great. Movies.app has unfortunately lost some of its intuitiveness compared to the web, and doesn't use the location services as it should (but, it has great items like its boxoffice listings with descriptions and thumbnails). BoxOffice may just knock it off my Springboard, as it uses location services to find movies near you AND has a tomato meter. MPG has become prettier than its jailbreak (free) counterpart, but its also lost the ability (apparently) to change the timestamp of your gas mileage entries... which makes it another dissappointment (with some kudos).
Pandora and AOL Radio are simply AWESOME.
Apple's "Remote" app is simply awesome, I can't wait to use it with my Apple TV. Sketches has gotten almost PAINFULLY GOOD, and is well worth the $5.99 price tag. It's really an amazing application. I like its corkboard document viewe, multiple undo, and insane "snapshot" features. It's going to really scream on a 3G.
Where is so much app, I don't know where to begin.
There are some TALENTED programmers out there, and its all looking like a mega-buffet for iPhone/iPodTouch owners! Congrats all around.
It was nice to see Jeff Grossman and Erica Sadun's names in the list of available apps. Very gratifying. Here's hoping to see more independents out there.
