MacBooks and MacBook Pros will likely be announced together and at a separate event. And I am hoping the "One More Thing" at that event is a new Mini on the same platform.
 
It might be a new Mac tablet that replaces the 12" PowerBook with better specs?

I would say there is a good chance. I know that in the UK stocks of Macbooks and Macbook Pros are running dry in all of the Apple resellers. Would Apple really let this happen in the midst of the back to school buying frenzy for no good reason?
 
other note: what are the chances of there being a "one more thing" this go around. i couldnt help but notice there wasnt one at steves last keynote. I noticed as soon as randy newman took the stage:p
