what are the options on late 2014 for pcie SSD?

I understand that the Samsung 960 evo is not an option. Are there any other options apart Apple and OWC? What are the benefits over say an 850 evo / pro in the sata slot?

Transcend has it too, but Apple part Samsung is the fastest. PCIE is faster than regular SATA. And you can use a 2TB Sata to maximise storage on it.
