Air - La Femme D'Argent.

Funny thing, I usually don't like to listen to music by streaming it from the MBP to my receiver, but for some reason I decided to earlier today. The album I landed on was Moon Safari, and after the first track was over I noticed that I had "repeat 1" selected in iTunes, which meant that La Femme D'Argent played for a total of five times back to back. Didn't bother me one bit, as it is a spectacular piece of music.

Right now listening to a compilation album from Ultravox. If I were a filmmaker I'd use this song in a heartbeat in something. Anything.

Ah, Ultravox are brilliant, too.

I remember when "Vienna" was released - I was an undergrad, and the song and video both blew me away.

You have given me an idea: Time to listen to Vienna.

And - a further migration: Madness: Night Boat to Ciaro, My Girl, Baggy Trousers, Embarrassment, Grey Day, Shut Up, House of Fun, Driving In My Car, Our House, Tomorrow's Just Another Day, The Sun And The Rain, One Better Day, among others....

New Tool song debuted last night at Rockville concert. I hope the alleged new album drops soon!

Descending, the other new song they dropped last night.

American Analog Set.

Helps me relax and get to bed at night. I especially like the song, "We're Computerizing And We Just Don't Need You Anymore". And "Born on the Cusp".

Other than that, my top 25 iTunes songs are filled with: The Shins, AmAnSet, Something For Rockets, Thievery Corporation, and Shook.

Maybe a little bit of Pavement and/or Wilco if I'm feeling especially nostalgic. That was a different life though.

Mike Mills from REM?

Gosh....I'm going to put REM albums on repeat now. Out of Time was so wonderful and brings me back to teenage life.

It may be a homage to Mike Mills (from Air), but the track is from Air's album Talkie Walkie.

Other excellent tracks on that album include Another Day, Alpha Beta Gaga and Biological.

I've only heard a few tracks from Air. But I totally love that stuff. If you like Air, you might like Thievery Corp, or Zero 7 too.

I love Air, so thanks for these recommendations; I shall certainly look forward to seeking them out and exploring them.

Currently, listening to Clocks by Coldplay.

Great old standard from the 1930s. Don't listen to it late at night though.

Most slasher type horror films bore me or make me laugh, this one (The Shining in case you haven't got it) really got to me though.

I’ve been playing Queen non stop since I watched Bohemian Rhapsody in Blu-ray couple months ago. Several of the tracks I left on repeat for a while. It’s on Radio Ga Ga right now. I actually went back and reripped all my Queen CDs to lossless and play on my dedicated DAP on a decent set of balanced headphones.

Have always liked Queen. Used to do the same on the CDs, program in the tracks I want and have them on repeat, drove everyone nuts with the repeating tracks lol.

Miss the days of buying a CD and discover my own hits before they become hits on the radio.

Ah my favorite track just came up. I don't believe this ever became a big hit but is my personal Queen favorite. This was one that was on repeat often.
