This album is about 9 yrs old, but never gets old. Good background music to have on when floating off into the dark spaces in your mind...

She caught a lot of undeserved flack for that song. Most people that bitched about it just totally failed to realise that it came from a place of fear for her. She literally felt she was dying from Lyme Disease, (which can kill you). Not close to her usual music, but not a bad song and not one people should have been mean about.

Ya I know,, I saw the interview on Youtube

Surprised that I haven't seen this artist mentioned on here. One of my favorite "new" artists from across the pond.

Badly Drawn Boy - You Were Right

Badly Drawn Boy - Silent Sigh

Listening to U2's The Joshua Tree while enjoying a cup of Kenyan coffee and waiting to watch Women's World Cup football.

Their best album by miles.

Boy isn't too bad, either, but not really a fan of U2.

One of the few bands who’s music I like (early stuff) but I have to try and put it to the back of my mind that Bono is a massive tosser in order to enjoy it :p

Agreed, that their earlier stuff is better, - far better than what they produced subsequently (although I'm not much of a fan), and agreed - absolutely - about Bono.

An oldie from the 70s, (which I recall vividly, a song which evoked sunshine, and warmth, one which had me dreamily dreaming of sunshine rippling on the tropical sea whenever I heard it):

Woah, I'm Going To Barbados by Typically Tropical.

Joe Hisaishi - Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind suite
I suspect that many still regard animated movies as something for younger audiences; Studio Ghibli convinced me otherwise. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but I think many of you will like this music. You get to see the music performed live, with a few scenes from the movie as a backdrop. Needless to say, t he movie is highly recommended too.

Rush 2112 yesterday (nearly the whole album) but You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone is stuck in my head this morning. The heart wants what the heart wants I guess.
