"Nobody Knows You When You Are Down and Out"
from Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek and the Dominos

Tool is my top favorite band. I'm looking forward to the new album coming in August.
Yes, can’t wait.
People have been posting concert footage on YouTube of some of those new songs, but I’ll wait to hear the album version.
Don’t want the experience to be ruined for me.
I’ve waited long enough, so just a little bit longer won’t kill me:cool:

From the Boss' latest album(June 2019)! The sound seems to harken back to one of his earlier albums IMHO; Nebraska(1982).

When I first heard this song when I was in junior high (1980) I had no idea what it was really about, just thought it was about a trip to Southeast Asia.

The lyrics and illustration make it clear it was (the song came out in 1976) it was another kind of tourism popular in the 1970s - organic that is now (at least for pot) legal in my native Canada.

Mind you though Rush were and remain one of my favourite groups, Geddy Lee's voice at this period made it hard to pick out the lyrics. :p

The Tonebenders' eponymous album from 1997. Track 2 carries the title "Lucy, Suzy, Cindy" and it woke me out of a sound sleep as the ending credits rolled for The Good Wife, Season 4, Episode 16. No clue what the show was about, I was zoning out after a long work day when I parked myself in front of a laptop screen that evening. That track I did like a lot though, and I eventually bought the album. It grew on me.

I still like the beats of that buzzy album, the vocals, instrumentation and maybe especially the song titles. I'm a sucker for an intriguing track list. I make up my own stories about their references even before I hear the songs.

Absolutely brilliant performance here. Though I feel her tempo in the third movement is a hair fast.

I always seem to judge people's performance of Beethoven's 14th by what I consider the most perfect performance and that was by Wilhelm Kempf.

I've seen several other videos of this wonderful lady doing other pieces and practices where she goes too fast and even jokes about it. She's great.
