Funny that’s how I feel about the Beatles.True, but I am not so sure that they - or their music - have aged as well as, for example, The Beatles.
Their music strikes me as very much of its time, but also rooted in that era; if, for example, I hear the track "Street Fighting' Man", this is played as a soundtrack to the events of the summer of 1968 in my memory.
Los Lobos - La Pistola Y El Corazon (1988)
I don't understand much Spanish but still enjoy this album.
Same. That is a great album, I have it on my computer's iTunes, and have the CD; actually, anything and everything by Los Lobos is well worth listening to: They are brilliant.
Based on a True Story - Fat Freddy’s Drop
Yet another example of why I like this thread. Heard about this here, and think it is a pretty fine album.

My favourite track by the Rolling Stones.
But, I will admit that I rather liked "The Last Time", "Street Fighting Man", and "Gimme Shelter" (I really liked the opening section), among others.
But, Beatles rule......
Angie, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Wild Horses, Sympathy For The Devil, Ruby Tuesday, etc...
Can't choose one over the other. However, if they both had a concert at the same time, i'd have to go with the Stones. I enjoy music from that era in general, which includes both bands.
You Can't Always Get What You Want (and agin, a great introduction), is a brilliant song. As is the disturbing Sympathy For The Devil, and Wild Horses is hauntingly melodic.
Actually, I enjoy music from that era, as well.
I've watched this kid grow up in youtube. She is very talented.
Also another great discovery is Pomplamoose.
And here's the two together.
