Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

Yeah, I've been playing this a good bit, owned in multiple formats for years, but sort of back burnered vs. my own Best of the Beasties playlist (or occasionally tossing on Sounds of Science on CD).

I sort of "rediscovered" it from the use of Egg Man in the closing credits of Watchmen S1E2 several weeks ago :)

Khruangbin - good music please indulge, try not to get distracted by the bass player band founder Laura.

Pieta Brown's Remember the Sun. I vaguely remember it... so happy we're past the winter solstice and the days are growing longer. Pretty soon the sun will even top that ridge to my south early enough to allow for cutting some fabric before lunchtime!

Great post.

And, that reminds me: It is high time to visit The Beatles again: In keeping with the theme and tone of your post, what about "Here Comes The Sun" from the Abbey Road album (by The Beatles).

Friday night is usually jazz night for me but it's a New Year and time for a break so tonight it's the Finnish country band Steve 'N" Seagulls instead. These guys are a stitch and very good musicians.

You could maybe laugh while the paint dries on this video of a Metallica cover, but it has over 19 million views so... Nothin' else matters

My favorite comment attached to the video:
"It's been 3 years and I'm still concerned about the boat not being tied off"

My personal favorite by these guys is the cover of Guns'n'Roses You Could Be Mine

Then there's their cover of AC/DC's Thunderstruck. Only 23k people hated it enough to bother signing in and giving it a thumbs down. But 94 million people have watched it so who was I to resist.
