Its been a Queen sort of night. But it often is with me!

Yes, I noticed.

Your favourite group.

Sometimes, I have a Queen night, - and they are brilliant - somewhat more frequently I have a Dire Straits night - that reminds me......

Mozart, of course, cannot be bettered.

Sultans of Swing (by Dire Straits) currently playing.

I prefer Telegraph Road (live) or Brothers in Arms.

Brothers In Arms is outstanding - a superlative - track (as is Telegraph Road).

But, I do recall a frisson of delight when I first heard Sultans of Swing; I thought it brilliant the, and I still think it brilliant all the years later.

Romeo & Juliet (Dire Straits) currently playing.

I'm having a blast and hope any neighbors passing by are also enjoying the opera, since I bothered to stick the CD into the rack system today and crank it up. Or at least I was doing that until the power outages resumed, ugh. Guess the crews are working to fix lines that went down last night in the storms. Anyway at the moment I've reverted to listening to a digital version just playing on the laptop.

This is where Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones help 😃

I know there are perhaps better headphones from an audiophile perspective - but I love listening to my favorite tracks on my Bose headphones - the Bose quiet comfort II are "very" comfortable and can remove those thunderclaps if needed - lol

Tunnel Of Love - Dire Straits.
Water of Love - Dire Straits

And now, the brilliant, immortal, superb, timeless, simply superlative, Brothers In Arms - courtesy Dire Straits.
I'm remembering that excellent West Wing episode of the same title with that track coming in at a perfect moment.

Howdy!

I'll probably keep it to the music thread for the time being.

Welcome back, and good to see you here.

Remember that the coffee and wine threads (and perhaps the cheese thread, though movement restrictions due to Covid-19 have meant that I have not posted there frequently myself, mainly because I have visited the cheesemonger's but once over the past four months) will welcome you, too.
