Attending an online ‘live’ concert now featuring Tchaikovsky and Bach with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. It is basically a pay-as-you-wish, pre-recorded performance with a live chat room. Think this will do until live concerts can restart. (You can enjoy the performance too by registering via the link above.)
Dire Straits Money for Nothing album as I mowed the grass.
I love both Tchaikovsky (and Bach), and also love Dire Straits.
The Pathétique Symphony was performed, with Hans Graf at the helm (the video below is with Lan Shui). What a dramatic turn between third and fourth movements which reminds me of Mahler's works.
Listening to some Jazz tunes today - summer is usually "Jazz Festival Season" in many cities - but many have been cancelled 😥

It's been a Primus kind of day today. It has rained all day, so what better way to spend the day than listen to music. Now the song I'm posting is not Primus, but hey, Les Claypool all the same. And it's a good song. And performance.
Have you see any of the Bonnaroo 2011 videos of Primus? They're really good and I seem to watch them regularly.
For some reason I haven't! Will probably take a gander at 'em later tonight, thanks a bunch for the link!
The guy on the xylophone is really gettin' some at 6 minutes!
Probably my favorite part of the performance! That, and the Winona's big brown bass riff that makes an appearance shortly after.
Quite possibly the best thing I've seen all day. And I've seen some pretty good stuff today.
Regarding Bonnaroo and Primus, I've searched high and low for an official album on CD or DVD of the performance and I don't think one exists. So I made my own FLAC album and am sharing it here if you or anyone want it for your listening pleasure on an iPod, DAP or whatever listening device you have.

La Traviata, the 1971 recording by Beverly Sills in her prime. Still think this is my favorite of a so often recorded opera, despite the formidable 1994 Covent Garden offering when Violetta was sung by Angela Gheorghiu.
