Tonight's edition of songs you know and love, but have somehow during the course of time forgotten, only to rediscover them at some point in time.

Got this CD at a record store in Times Square way back when it was released. Buying this CD actually taught me that in the US the numbers printed on the price tags are most often not the actual amount you have to pay. Sales tax and whatnot. Interesting stuff.

Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac

Peter died today at 73. Considered possibly the best white blues guitarist in the UK. He replaced Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers at one point. Unfortunately he had a few long lasting problems with LSD and that derailed what would have been a fabulous career. A bit akin to Syd Barrett but more talented instrument wise.

Watching a DVD of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites (having rounded up a used copy in excellent condition.) The lead soloists were Anne-Sophie Schmidt, Patricia Petibon, direction by Marthe Keller and Don Kent; Jan Latham-Koenig / Strasbourg Philharmonic. Chilling finale, no matter how this opera is staged or sung, but the particular performances here were just stellar overall.
