Sigh. Sarcasm just doesn't translate well online all the time. Now we'll never know if I knew it was Under Pressure or not.

No, sarcasm does not translate well online.

Not just not all the time, but, also most of the time.

Moreover, it is not necessary in an agreeable, welcoming, pleasant, thread such as this one is.

Now, back to the topic under discussion on this thread:

I am listening to the spine-tingling song Nessun Dorma, from the opera Turandot by Puccini, sung by the late, great, Luciano Pavarotti.

One of the greatest soundtracks ever recorded. To one of the greatest films ever made. Just stumbled upon the closing minutes of this film on the TV, and this piece of music will never not get chills out of me. The movie might be over, but luckily the OST is in arms reach.

The best of weekends to everyone!

Brilliant movie and terrific soundtrack.

Gethsemane (I Only Want To Say) · Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) · Superstar · 1970 original soundtrack

Ah, a genuine classic.

Ah, a genuine classic.

The whole original sound track by Andrew Lloyd Webber / Tim Rice is great - so many great tracks - a great nostalgia trip back to 1970

I listened to the whole album yesterday and then followed up with some Arlo Guthrie, not that they are connected in any way - just stuff from my "hippie past" lol

I love Touhou themes (as you can probably guess by how many arrangements I post here), but this is going through my head:
(10 minute video, but it loops given it's a video game theme)

Not sure I follow the sarcasm bit, but specifically it was this version.

As it happened, I didn't either.

That's actually the only version I was aware of. So, I was joking that it could be songs they never dueted on. This is a joke free thread.

It is a music thread.

That is why people choose to post here.

Please, then, therefore, do bear in mind that sarcasm and humour and "jokes" are 1) not expected, 2) mightn't be understood, let alone 3) appreciated, and, 4) that humour, anyway, is a personal and highly subjective thing, very much dependent on context, while, 5) people have a right not to find someone's attempts at humour funny.

Now: Music: @Apple fanboy has reminded me that it has been far too long since I last listened to REM.

So, a few songs from REM: Daysleeper; Lotus: Bittersweet Me; E-Bow The Letter; Everybody Hurts; Losing My Religion; Bang And Blame, and Man On The Moon.

Not sure how I randomly chose REM yesterday and Radiohead today. But all great tracks you listed. Everybody Hurts and Loosing my Religion being two of my favourites.
