I am 69 with hearing loss and thought that I would never be able to enjoy music again without headphones, but I just bought a new Sony stereo receiver and Polk tower speakers and am now rediscovering my music library. Of course it is not the same as when I was younger but I am amazed at how clear everything is with this (admittedly entry level) stereo system. I have a varied iTunes library and cd collection, everything from classic (1940s) country to classical to hard rock to jazz and everything in between. I am especially getting back into the Tijuana Brass and Stan Getz atm.
