I used to work with Joe Bonamassa's aunt in central NY state where he's from. One night back in 1994/1995 or so, I was at a bar where a band was playing. During their break, this 16 year old kid who was in the bar for some reason asked the guitarist if he could try his. The guitarist handed it over with a little chuckle. The kid was Joe Bonamassa and I bet you can guess what happened next. That guitarist's jaw dropped to the floor. I talked to Joe later that evening and he was a nice kid.In a bluezzzy mood today...

"I think I'm attracted to teachers. I took out an English teacher. That didn't work out at all. I sent her a love letter ... she corrected it." -- Thornton Melon.Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party

I enjoy this as background music.
I really like Oingo Boingo but Dead Man's Party is one of my least faves by them .Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
Love this album, Meddle. Your reference reminded me of another interesting Pink Floyd reference to a different "Dr." -- this time Dr. Strange, who is featured in the lesser known gem, Cymbaline (this time from the 1969 More album).Classic Floyd
Listen carefully there is a riff on the Dr Who theme around 3:00.
