Now, that is what I call music.

These are classic albums.

Timeless, ageless, utterly spell-binding and absolutely brilliant.

I don't know where you are located at, but in Southern California, Los Angeles and Orange County areas, there is a band called "Which One's Pink?". As you might imagine, they are a Pink Floyd cover band and they are freaking amazing. I have seen them now some 10 ten times. Saw them this last weekend at the OC Fair. Freaking killed it.

I love these two albums, with DSOTM being one of my favorites. Excellent choice.

"Wish You Were Here" is another one that I can never get enough of.

Ah, yes. Well, I was sixteen when I bought this pair of albums, (as LPs, not even CDs - they hadn't yet been invented..), almost immediately before (DSOTM), and very shortly after (Animals) school broke up for the summer holidays; I won't bore you with how often I listened (endlessly) to both albums that summer, but yes, that was quite some time ago, sometime, in the last century......

Thank you for reminding me to do just this, @pachyderm; sometimes, you forget just how good some of the music you have in your music library actually is.

Between this one and the below, they are some of my favorite tunes. I still have a huge crush on her...

Joan Jett - Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)

Spinning back to Blondie (1978), listening on vinyl in my uncles house :) Got me started never looked back, never will...

This afternoon, while in an old-style shop (I needed stuff scanned), with courteous and competent staff, a music station (dedicated to such things) was playing classic rock and pop; two of the songs that I listened to while my business was being attended to, were The Boxer, by Simon & Garfunkel; and Vienna by Ultravox.

Classic stuff. Wonderful.

I was trying to figure out how to play in the "three-handed technique" that Dave McKenna used, and came across an amazing stride piano version of "Have You Met Miss Jones." I just love how he combines stride with the walking bass line, it makes me smile every time I hear it. That's what I've been listening to...

The The Living Daylights motion picture soundtrack, which has the distinction of being the final James Bond film to be scored by the late John Barry OBE. The title song is one of my favorites from the series, and was performed by a-Ha. Many great action sequence tracks on this album, including Exercise at Gibraltar, Ice Chase, and Necros Attacks. Mr. Barry definitely went out on a high note with this one, pun intended.
