One of my top ten favorite James Bond main themes as performed by Duran Duran. It holds the distinction of being the only Bond theme to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and was the last single recorded by the band until their 2001 reunion.

Recorded by the band? Or do you mean recorded by the band with their original lineup?

I want to say this was 1985 or 1986. If 1986, for the entire album Notorious, one of the Taylors already left the band, and they had a session guitarist play the part, with Nile Rodgers producing the album. The title track and Skin Trade were singles off that album.. Then IIRC, they had their second self titled album in 1988, that had 2 singles, then their 3rd self titled album in 1991, which Ordinary World and Too Much Information came from. Then came the Wedding Album.

So they did have a few singles after this, so I'm thinking you're meaning with the original lineup. It's sad that Andy Taylor couldn't be with them at the HoF induction ceremony because of his relapse of cancer.

I can't believe this was Chuck Berry's only #1 record, let alone the fact that I had never heard it until 2 days ago. Now every time I hear it, I'm crying from laughing too hard.. And the fact that he's doing it live makes it even funnier!

A bit late today...

Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger

Robert Palmer - Every Kinda People

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - American Girl

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Night Moves

Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show - Carry Me, Carrie
Excellent selection, and Goodbye Stranger, especially, is a superb song - it still sounds amazing after all these years. later.
