Two treasured items in my music collection:
I will investigate. Just found them in Apple Music. Thanks.

Another great Tidal suggestion which I would never have found by myself. Turns out there is a video out there as well of the South African artist:

I'm listening to The Residents... and oh my god, their stuff is weird!! I've just discovered them. Seemingly nonsensical lyrics and strange instrumentation. Guess that's the point of avant-garde music though.

Heh, yeah, it's sort of like if Yoko Ono fronted KISS.

@KaliYoni Freedom Now is amazing! I love it, too! Can't remember if I've already mentioned this, but have you ever heard this Max Roach album, Speak, Brother, Speak? It's an interesting one, I think it's worth listening to. Basically everyone I've shared it with hasn't liked it, which is understandable, but there are parts that I think work incredibly well.

In fact, there's a drummer I know who met Max Roach as he was traveling through the state on a tour one time.

That's a great date, with Roach, Jordan, and Waldron in fine form. Hard to see why so many people don't like it, given nothing about it is shocking, offensive, or weird these days.

A tangent: Max Roach's discography is a great demonstration of why streaming media can be a positive force. So much of Roach's work is out of print that it's good there's a way to keep his music alive and obtainable for new listeners.

I've discovered Hippocampe Fou's latest album "LOdysée d'Hippo" and so far I'm enjoying it so much.
His way of matching his lyrics to his instrumental is truly unique, it's an experience in its own right. Especially in the Rap genre.
It's always really thoughtful and immersive. His text are really clever but it's in French. But even if you don't understand it, it's just a pleasure to listen to the track by itself, considering how good his flow is.
This one is Ancient Egypt themed.
