I’m hoping for (as has been rumoured) a complete overhaul.

I find the Apple Watch kind of stale, at this point.

I’m not knocking it. It is a great device, but it really is in need of something new.

What would you like from the next OS update?

Unify Health and Fitness apps into one.

Give us proper bar charts. None of these lines with rounded end points that are so vague.

Manage space better. The UI has so wasted space.

I wish Apple would utilize accordion drop down for many of their data screens.

For example, Fitness has a long list of workouts for each month. I don’t need to see stuff from 3 months ago. Just use accordions.

I’d like to be able to put my completed perfect month and successful monthly challenges into folders for each year/category. There are so many to scroll through these days after five years worth activities. I love everyone.

I wish for the siri watch face to be working properly again. I don’t know when it happened, but a lot of apps just seemed to stop working with it overnight.

Not asking for much but since the Watch is an extension of the iPhone, would be nice to be able to see my iPhone’s battery level on the watch. AirPods do this, why can’t the iPhone? Seems like such a small oversight.

I hope alarm clock's 'Snooze' and 'Stop' buttons were farther apart. I don't understand why they are next to each other. Why the other one is not on the top of the screen and the other on the bottom. It would be much easier to press the 'Snooze' with sleepy eyes and not to worry if I accidentallly press the wrong one.

Yeah, I spent the money and tried them all. Very slow to update if they ever update at all. It’s useless if it shows my battery level from a couple hours ago.

I just use the physical buttons. Digital Crown to snooze, and side button to stop alarm.

Yeah no worries… Not your fault lol. I appreciate the links tho. Still boggles my mind why Apple never came up with a native solution for this.
well, it hadn't occurred to me this would be a useful feature until I saw your post. Of course, it seems so obvious once you hear the idea! I hope Apple gets around to doing this one of these days.

Plenty of use cases I can think of for this but one would be that it would be nice to glance at my watch while my phone is charging in another room to see where it’s at. This way, I don’t have to keep checking on it before I leave the house to see if it’s full. To add to this, a notification when the iPhone is 100% like the iPhone does for the Watch.

I’d just like the wake alarm to sound on your watch when its in nightstand mode, rather than your phone. If you’re wearing it on your wrist at night, it does goes off, but if its on your bedside table, it doesn’t, which is daft.

The watch (well, mine does) notifies me when my iPhone's battery reaches 100%.

It used to alert with a ping, but now it's silent.

A simple but one which I think most would value: The option to set a silent alarm, rather than having to set the entire watch to silent mode.

They really need to open up the APIs and functionality to improve the basic functionality and make the watch more independent.

1. Unless you've got a cellular watch and you're straight downloading to the Music app, getting music onto your watch is a huge ****ing chore. And non-Apple apps (e.g. Amazon Music that are reliant on the WOS APIs) are laughable.

A. Using the watch app to transfer a playlist is supremely clunky and slow and for some reason uses super slow bluetooth. It takes 10s of minutes. Ridiculous.

B. Using the Amazon app (but from what I understand, dependent on what WatchKit allows, if you transfer a playlist, you literally can only play the songs on the playlist in that specific order. No shuffle. No selecting individual songs or artists. It's an interface made to punish you for even trying.

2. Power functionality. The AW gets trounced in terms of battery life by Garmin for long workouts and Apple's low power modes are really generic. Turning on low power modes stops stuff like wifi (which I obviously don't need in the middle of a run) but does stop measuring heart rate, which I obviously do. It's totally low hanging fruit to create a "workout mode" power save functionality that only turns off what you need to turn off. For that matter, it would also be trivial to let the user create their own power modes (in case they do need wifi during their run, they can choose).

3. Obvious, but basically allow independent setup and operation w/o an iPhone.

I mainly hope for continued evolution of the workout features and specifically the running world: Mapped runs! Use the amazing map capability and large display to be able to create and select a route before I leave home. This would be amazing especially in new vacation locations etc.

Also REST DAYS! Hate that I can run a marathon and smash 500% of all rings and still not recommended to rest the day after. Take a note from the competitors and their Body Battery here

Why not just adjust your targets downwards for the day? That way you can still close your rings based on a more reasonable set of metrics that allow for rest.

More features related to Oxygen and Temperature Sensors.
Faster update installs
More frequent HRV readings
Better battery use
