That is so weird, I have my option key with the writing "option" instead of the symbol, although to be perfectly honest I would prefer the symbol but who cares. Why would apple do such a weird thing like that?

You can get a 500gb 5400rpm drive, or a 320gb 7200rpm one, for under $150, just browse newegg. There's supposed to be a 500gb 7200rpm coming out next month though if you want to wait, not sure what the pricing will look like though...
 
Now from ppl that have bought MBP's from MacMall: Have any of them had any problems? I don't like buying online, but I might as well take the Black Friday savings and also get the pro over the macbook if I don't go to the store this weekend...

yup that sounds great! i wont need a new one for a year, so i might as well wait for a price drop!
 
What we really need is a thread for people to post their Macbook specs! There are an infinite amount configurations! We need to know them all! Dozens of posts like "2.4ghz/250gb/4gb RAM" will be so awesome!

Then we need a thread, possibly even a dedicated forum, for people to post their potato apple sacks, with lots of detailed photos! The more photos, the more AWESOME!

Also, Discovery Channel should do a whole week of nothing but SHARKS!
 
Thinking of picking up the 2.4 model on Black Friday. Hopefully there will be a discount.

Me too! I think you should check out MacMall.com if your looking for a real discount like me. I heard they will probably have 300 bucks off plus the usual fifty and no sales tax! I may camp outside my local apple store also if they will hold one for me...

The EU-style keyboards label their command, option and control keys as "cmd" + icon, "alt" + icon, and "ctrl" whereas the US-style keyboards have it has writing. I got a US keyboard on a UK MacBook so I have the keys written in full, but thats mainly because I hate the EU-style enter key which is just perversely tiny.

As for why, well I don't know really... maybe so its less noticeable when the keyboards are used in different EU countries with different languages?

Thank you vary much! I signed on tonight and when I saw five pages of replies, I was like, "What the heck?" Thanks for merging them.... I promise: no more aluminum macBook threads (unless its important, unlike me:p) I was afraid that after the OP said they reported I would be banned, or worse:D
