I'm almost positive it's 1GHz chip down clocked to 0.8GHz.
Plantebeing says the clock speed is dynamically scaled depending on demand, but he doesn't know what the maximum clock speed is.

They're won't be a "next" iPhone until 2012-13. Apple isn't in the habit of redesigning the iPhone every year

Yes, if Apple learns to build a phone that makes & receives calls, like the other AT&T phones I own, that would be quite an accomplishment.A Phone that can make calls.![]()
Not that this is important to me and I have not read all threads here but I have read most, I am surprised no one is looking for MyWi device.
I mean I hear a lot of people getting the Droid X just for this feature?

My realistic expectations:

2011 Hardware:
10.1" Screen
Optional data networks
Add those things and I'll be happy!
Exactly. It's incredibly expensive and time consuming to tool up for a new design and we just got the iPhone 4. Next year it ain't getting bigger, or skinnier. Whatever we get will be in the exact same shell.Methinks you're mis-interpreting what he's saying. I think he's saying that there isn't a significant design change each and every year. If you go with that train of thought, he is correct. Between the iphone 3G and 3GS, there was little to no change in the overall design.
