Which browser with OSX?

This website is gonna be partial to Safari. With that said, I've used Chrome in the past and have recently moved to Safari and love it.

I used to use chrome on my PC, but on my mac I use Safari. I have chrome downloaded on my mac, but I still use safari, its just simpler for me to use the native software.

I mainly use Safari, but I also have Firefox installed, which I use sometimes. I use Firefox at work 'cause they use windows pc's, and IE is total c*ap.

Normally I use Safari, but I also have SRIron installed for when I need something different. I had Chrome installed, but I hated the phoning home it does (Little Snitch would alert me all the time), and SRIron is the open source foundation for Chrome, even runs Chrome extensions. Works great.

Would love to use safari but ads in youtube pisses me off more than anything in this world. So FF it is with adblock plus. Adblock plus for safari is beta and buggy. Click 2flash in safari is not a valid solution for me for reasons I don't feel like explaining. Chrome installs google services which I cannot stand and also I have grown to not trust google when it comes to forcing its users to do things, like google+ to comment on youtube etc. I bet they would do something sneaky with the browser soon enough.

Apart from the ad issue, Safari is the best ever. Wish I could use it.

I wish I could use the hot key for auto form(s) complete in firefox like I can in safari. FF auto complete form extensions are not anywhere near the in built feature of Safari either.

While still not perfect Adblock on Safari is perfectly usable now. I too was using FF on my Mac for a good long while as I cannot stand being spammed with adverts while I browse or watch Youtube. The only time I notice any ads is in some embedded videos (never on Youtube) and the very occasional popup. Give it a try, they seem to have really sorted it on Safari.

Trying it now, with adblock plus enabled some pages load blank, specifically youtube.com lol

Sorry. Just had to correct this bit of info. SRIron is not the open source foundation for Chrome. That would be Chromium.

www.chromium.org

It also happens to be what Iron is based off of. Don't be deceived though. Iron claims to be open source but they haven't actually released a source code in years.

You can download ready to use binaries for Chromium here

Adblock & adblock plus are TWO different solutions, you want ADBLOCK not adblock plus. Remove adblock plus and install the Adblock extension right from apple's extension site.

So Adblock from the apple extension site blocks youtube ads now?

edit: Tried it, got hit with an ad straight up lol. Sorry but graphic based ads, no problem, ads that interfere with my workflow (youtube) big problem. Will be using FF until adblock or adblock plus figure out their stuff.

Edit2: Good news for Safari. Adblock works but only if you install it from https://getadblock.com/ It seems the version in the Apple Extension gallery is not up to date with the recent fix (late march patch according to their website knowledge base). I have checked about 20 videos in a row (not watching them of course) and no ads. Glad I stumbled across this thread or I probably wouldn't have been able to switch back to Safari for a few more months.

Are you sure you have the correct filter lists? I assure you I am using Adblock as downloaded from Apple's extension page with no other extensions installed. I don't see any blank pages and I definitely do not get a single ad on Youtube.com. Using Easylist and a custom one to remove those moronic EU cookie popups

I was using adblock plus when the pages were not loading.

Safari, Chrome, and Fluid. Rarely, Opera and Firefox.

Safari for general browsing because of Reader mode and being able to zoom into what I want to read.

Chrome for forums and viewing Flash videos.

Fluid for static web sites, like my Netflix accounts and a few specific web pages that I want to access regularly. I have multiple accounts on my Mac and put the Fluid apps in the Shared directory, with the "apps" saving their own cookies so that I don't have to log in/out of each profile.

Over the years, I've used Tor, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Opera Next, Epic, and Safari but always find myself coming back to Safari. The overall UI just feels great and it doesn't hog my memory like Chrome does. Little features like smooth pinch to zoom and real-time back/front page swipes make it really appealing to me. I also love the preview driver built in. Chrome's PDF viewing annoyed the heck out of me. With Safari, I can easily click a button and book it opens in Preview - no need to download then go to folder then open with preview. Add AdBlock, and it's literally the perfect browser for me.
