Currently, I utilize 3 Canon Bodies: a 5DMKII & (2x) 1DMKIIN's.

My longer range plans, do involve investing into either a Hassy or Mamiya 645 System. :D

Currently: 5D Mark II. Its still my favorite camera on the market even though its a few years old now.

That being said I'll use any camera, I just prefer the look of the 5D Mark II pics straight out of the camera as well as Canons lens lineup and button setup on their cameras.

Nikon D3S and Nikon D700+MB-D10, with assorted lenses and other accessories. Also have a pristine Nikoin D80 that still works very well.

It's looking like a 600/4 VRII might join the family too.

PhaseOne 645 DF w/ a PhaseOne back, and a Lumix for travel. The Mamiya/P1 system rocks. 12+ stops dynamic range. It can see into dark tunnels and pull out an image where I only see black. Up to hour long exposures with very very little noise (I've only gone up to 18 minutes so far). Huge files. Crisp images. etc etc

But good lord it is a heavy camera. I'm building up muscles in my arms that I haven't seen since I was a teenager.....

Nice! I'm with you on heavy cameras. :) I used to find a D700+MB-D10 and a 200-400mm Zoom-Nikkor heavy for 3 hours of hand-held use. Now it's nothing at all, since I'm used to it. :) Interesting fact, the D3S feels lighter and more compact!

Still a newbie here to DSLR. Use my T3i w/kit lens and a 55-250 lens. Still have my Canon P&S so I decided to stick with Canon since they seem to have a pretty good rep when it comes to their cameras. Haven't been disappointed yet with mine.

Canon rocks Nikon sucks! :p
Normally Nikon and Canon owners don't dis each other. They leave that stupidity for people who own other cameras.

Actually it's all about the controls and what you feel comfortable with. For D-SLRs I happen to like the way Nikon has the controls laid out on the D-SLRs.

Not a bad reason at all for sticking with Canon. My advice tends to be pick up and handle different cameras. See which one fits your hands and has a control layout that you like. And to remember once you start buying lenses and certain accessories, it's really expensive to change brands.

I have a Powershot S5 IS + 0.75x Wide-angle Lens and am pretty happy with it and its DIGIC III processor BUT am drooling over your DSLRs and their superior lenses + RAW format; however, my grad student budget does not allow me to splurge (yet!) :p

I will likely stay with Canon (but Nikon is another option, as friends can be persuasive) and am spying on B&H's DSLRs.... especially the EOS Rebel series and 60D (sub-$1000)

It's in my sig too but I'm currently on a Canon EOS 10D, old but still pretty awesome, but it tests my patience for sure. I had originally planned on going the 60D upgrade route, but I know that then I'll be tempted to buy EF-S lenses, so I'm looking to go to a 5Dc since I know that I want to go FF eventually anyway.

I've shot a D7000 and I loved it, I have nothing against Nikon and I love their Speedlights, and those front and back adjustment wheels on their prosumer and up bodies are amazing. But, Canon is what I grew up on and what feels right in my hand, Nikon took me some time to get used to changing certain settings that I knew how to do blind on a Canon body. I see it as personal preference over anything else, both have very compelling solutions for every area of photography.

Right now I'm packing a Nikon D60 and two D70s. One D70 has had the hot mirror removed.

I have a bunch of inexpensive glass. The two I use the most are the 18-70 kit lens that came with my original D70 and a 50mm F1.4 prime. Still looking for an adapter for a bunch of Topcon lenses that were given to me. ;)

Olympus E-5. Always was a loner.

:p I like it lots and I love the high grade Olympus lenses that fit it. My two faves are the 14-35mm f/2.0 and the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5, both weather sealed as is the body.

I've been shooting with a Nikon D700 for 2 1/2 years. Lenses range from 14mm to 840mm (the latter with the aid of stacked teleconverters). I also use a Canon S90.

I use a Nikon D90 with 18-105mm f3.5-5.6, 55- 200mm f4-5.6, 50mm f2.8 prime. I had wanted the 35mm prime but couldn't find any available with a large mark up.

I've owned a bunch of Canons over the years. My current DSLR is a 50D. I expect it to be a little while before I upgrade again since I haven't hit the limit of this camera. I want a full frame next time around. I'm not a fan of the crop sensor zoom that each lens gets. Oh well.
