I'm not going to bother listing what I use specifically. But it's a mix of Canon, Nikon, Hasselblad, Sony and Leica.

Nikon D40. It's blatantly the best camera ever.

I agree ! I so want that one, but they had already stopped making them when I switched to DSLR from film.

D90 and a Panasonic GF1. Started out on a D40 because it was on sale. Too late to switch now! Although I do love some of Canon's higher end bodies. Also I find their lens selection much more impressive than Nikons, which tends to be both outdated and overpriced. That said, shooting with some of my friends low to mid range Canons is a nightmare for me. The button layout is so peculiar, but I'm sure I'd have the same to say for Nikon had things gone differently.

Leica M6 TTL.

Ebony SV45U.

Still shooting film! (Primarily because an equivalent digital upgrade from either of these cameras is $$$$$.)

Canon 550D

Bought it mainly for it's video capabilities, but I've found myself taking more stills lately.

LOVE IT!

In which case, I'll see your tiny D700s and raise you a D3x and D2x and 400/2.8. :D

Paul

LOL

I'll raise you my Zeiss 1,700mm f/4

But seriously, Canon bodies (5d2/50d) and a Canon lens, a tamron lens, a tokina lens, and a sigma lens. I love them all equally and contrary to the popular myth that 3rd party lenses are bunk, of the next 3 lenses I want to get, only one is canon :D

I have two, a Nikon D70s, and a Canon G12. Mixed marriage of sorts.

For most of my needs I'm really happy with the canon point and shoot.

Went from a Canon 30d to a Canon 7d to now a Nikon d7000 and haven't looked back. :)

Down to my old Nikon D70s after selling my Nikon Stuff, Just awaiting the arrival of a Canon 5D mkII with 24-105mm lens kit which I ordered yesterday, then gotta find a nice wide angle for it.......

Sony to Canon

Interestingly, just like Mickbab who is one of the first to respond to this thread, Up to a few weeks ago I used a Sony Alpha300 with great success for several years. The camera served me very well and took very good pictures. I just got a new Canon 60D and I love it!

The Sony did get me hooked on the articulating LCD screen. Although I'm old school and use the viewfinder for almost all of my shots, the articulating screen is great for overhead (over crowd), or very low shots.

I tried to like the transparent mirror Sony, but the camera follows the trend and is too darn small in my hand. I have big hands and I like a camera body that allows me to get all of my fingers on it to hold onto it.

I shot Canon for film so I had some lenses, and even a wireless shutter release. The fact that all Canon lenses work with the 60D was a plus to be sure.

The Canon 60D was like putting on an old comfortable pair of shoes, and it takes very good pictures with exceptional color saturation.

But for those looking for a great small body camera, look at Sony, they are making good stuff.

Interesting... and perhaps not surprising that the poll is almost a 50/50 split between Nikon and Canon with a handfull of others. I expected Canon to have a higher market share than Nikon.

Here's mine. Crappy iPhone pic... but my good camera was busy being the subject :p

Another Nikon user. D200 for my paid work and the Lumix for general snaps. Then for my personal work its a 70/30 spilt between my two favourite film cameras (out of my ever growing collection). Nikomat FT2 and Mamiya 645. Both of which I love more than any digital.

I have one of those, a black one! Really nice camera but haven't used it for a number of years. That's what made me choose Nikon when I bought my first dSLR but I found I liked the colours of the Canon photos straight from the camera better and changed over.

Recently upgraded from a 450D to a 5DII but can't think you want to see yet another photo of one. Was going to keep the 450D but in the end I sold it to buy a tripod as the old one wasn't up to the weight of the 5DII. Currently saving up for the 100mm L Macro.

I also have a Canon S95 that I carry around all the time, just in case.

Almost looks like the majority of replies are Nikon users... del mine is in the sig but in short.
D7000 gripped and 8!! (don't ask they were on sale :) spare batteries
24-70 f2.8G
50mm f1.4G
105mm f2.8G VR
bunch of flashed with a total of 36 Eneloop X's

Have to say, the D7000 has been my favorite nikon body to date.
