Zugu Case for sure... Premium feel and materials, solid multiple angles to draw on and a sturdy backplate makes the Ipad feel alot more solid.

ESR Sentry case arrived yesterday. Happy with it. Can't go wrong for $20. Ordering a 2nd for her. She changed her mind on the one she ordered.

Still can't believe people actually pay $99 for those Folio cases from Apple. Wow.

I'm currently using the Apple Smart folio on my 12.9" iPP. I'm not happy about it because it's not very comfortable to hold. The edges on the folio are kind of sharp and not very comfortable to grip. I'm also concerned that the folio doesn't do anything to protect the sides of the unit.

Also, the apple pencil simply can't be carried magnetically attached to the iPP with the folio as it's too easy to bump it off the edge.

I think I need to look at a third party case that'll be more comfortable to hold, and provide a better method of securing the pencil.

If your worried about the pencil being knocked off, there’s some good recommendations in this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...d-apple-pencil-storage-diy-solutions.2233888/

I went with the surface pencil holder on my folio and it works great, charging works too still.

I use this on my Magic KeyBoard (stylus sling on Amazon) case and on my magnetic Oxford (from Pad and Quill). It’s not elegant but it does work.

After ordering, cancelling, ordering and cancelling iPad I finally decided to get the iPad Pro 12.9" XDR 256GB with 5G in Silver. To that, I got the white Magic Keyboard which will act as my "case". :)

I've picked three for my 11incher.
Nomad Rugged Folio, rustic brown leather
Torro Magnetic Case, brown leather
Apple keyboard folio, black.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep the 🖊 magnetically attached while you’re transporting the iPad since it easily detaches. I think it’s meant strictly for pairing and charging.

Smart Folio. The downsides of being so minimalist is that it won’t protect much on the sides. The nice thing though is how easy you can tear off the case and go naked.

how easy is it to take the iPad in and out of the zugu case? Would you still recommend it if one were to take it off multiple times each week?

I have the Magic KB for my 11” and the smart folio in Orange is coming in tomorrow. I am tempted to return the folio case.

What do you guys think?

Absolutely not. The Zugu is a PITA if removing all the time. If you want speed and ease of use swapping. MJK and Folio it is.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a case that protects from drops? I'm considering an STMGoods Dux. My 2017 10.5" iPad Pro has had an Dux case on it since day 1. The case has done an incredible job of protecting my iPad, however after 4 years of abuse, the case cover is deteriorating.

Thank you, good idea. So my folio case is delayed again. It was originally supposed to be Saturday, now it’s tomorrow.

My folio case was delivered today. Unfortunately I will be returning it. It seems too flimsy for the price and I will just use the Magic keyboard

Picked up white MGK for primary use - at desk or lap, deep navy Smart folio for when I wanna detach.

Store and transport the 12.9 IPP in MGK or SF in a Tumi medium laptop sleeve when I’m on the go.

LOL keep a Shaggymax 12.9 IPP microfiber swiper cleaning cloth/protector between the IPP and cases.
