I bought a Smartish Kung Fu Grip case to replace my Otterbox Defender for my iPhone X and I’ve really been loving it. It’s the Wirecutter-recommended case, and I was a little skeptical of it before I ordered, but it’s really solid and sleek. I’ll definitely get one for the 12 mini.

Caudabe Synthesis in the frosted color! Have had it for my phones since the X. Has taken some nasty drops over the years and never broke the screen or back glass nor has the phone flown out of the case. Plus for me it’s the right amount of grip and thinness.

UAG, period...end of discussion.

I’ve walked 5,000 miles with their Pathfinder case and have climbed the biggest mountains in the United States of America... it is drop tested

& after making it from 🇲🇽 to 🇨🇦 twice...the iPhone OG SE had no dents or scratches. Other cases are too heavy or too light and don’t offer enough protection. The iPhone 12 will mirror the OG SE. This is the ticket, y’all

Probably a Spigen Liquid crystal clear case. Only about £7-8, very slim but give decent protection on the sides, but most importantly has micro dots on the back so there is no water smearing of any kind. Apple leather cases are good quality and finish, but overpriced and give very little protection in my opinion.

I have 2 kids, a clumsy dog, and tend to drop things. Otterbox defender has been my go to for 6 years.

What cases are already available ?
On Amazon France, I see a lot of products from brands I've never heard of and with a lot of fake reviews ("This case was perfect for my phone during my summer trip" - iphone 12 mini case 🙃)

Probably an Apple Leather case again but I may opt for a paper thin case given the shape of the new phones

Spigen clear case - much better & far cheaper than the £45 Apple clear silicone case I returned last year.

I do like the Apple leather case though, so probably one of those too (in a dark colour).

Apple leather case for daily use and a Spigen ultra hybrid clear case for running and outdoor activities where sweat or impacts might occur

I'll most likely buy a black Apple silicone case as in years past unless I get the new blue iPhone Pro. Then I will go with a clear case.

Always get the Apple leather case. i got an Apple Silicone case on a cheap sale a few months ago. Thought I’d give it a try on my 11 Pro. it was offered at half price. Figured I’d give it a few days and go back to leather case.

It’s still on the phone. Just the love the feel. So I’ll be getting the silicone case this time I’m sure at full price.

Just ordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max version of the Ringke Fusion-X. One of my fave cases for the last three gens.

I thought I would buy a clear case for my new iPhone 12, but there are so many. What case will you buy and why? How well will it actually protect your phone? I personally want to minimize the bulk, but still protect it, and I want to be able to see the color of the phone.
Speck, clear case with grips.. I like the grippy feel, am scared to drop my phone, but wanted the pretty blue to show..

Can someone who has had experience with the Pitaka cases tell me the differences between the Air and MagEZ? Also, are the Pitaka cases level with the phone screen or is it raised?

Do the 11 pro screen protectors fit the 12 pro? Many on Amazon say they’re compatible with both 11 pro and 12 pro

I may go for the Mous Clarity. The protection on Mous cases are exceptional, and the Clarity would let me actually see the back of my phone. According to their website, their cases are usable with MagSafe.

My current case is Tech21 clear case and not yet decide which case go for new iPhone. It defo be clear and might end up Tech21 clear case again. Current one I have been used 3 years.

I am still searching a good ultra slim case. Probably going for the Caudabe Veil frost.
But honestly I would love to have a case similar the the Pixel 5 with Sorta Sage color as it looks really good. But so far don't know if something like it exists.

I’ve had iPhones since the original all without cases until iPhone X. That one just seemed fragile to me with the glass back. I’ve used cases since then on the XS and 11. With the improved Ceramic Shield screen I’m debating going without a case. I’m pretty careful but not perfect. A good friend has an 11 Max without a case and hasn’t had an issue even though he’s dropped it many times. I may just get the Apple clear case for travel. Still debating.

FYI, the Smartish KFG cases have adopted the same finger-groove edges that their GripZilla cases have. I ordered the KFG case for my new 12Pro (I use one on my X) and was surprised that it had the scalloped edges, although not nearly as pronounced as the GripZilla.

Edit: For anyone thinking about the GripZilla, be forewarned, I ordered one of those too, and Amazon is sending the one for the 12Pro Max instead of the 12Pro. Smartish must have provided them mis-marked stock, it says for 6.1" phone on the front but it's clearly for the larger phone when you measure it. Amazon is replacing it but I'm not holding my breath.
