Well, I have had the Griffin Reveal for a solid week or two and the clear back is on my nerves already. You see every single little speck of any dust or anything in it on the white iPhone.

I just ordered the Speck Pixelskin HD in the Harbor Blue.

Hopefully that works for me.

This is one of several cases I stumbled upon while browsing eBay. The first comment I always get is, "is it Batman?" I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but it fits like a glove and feels nice in hand. ($4.79 on eBay)

I'll never understand people who choose AppleCare+ over cases. Drop that thing 3 times and you'll end up paying 650+ for a new one. It only covers two accidental damage claims.

Actually you would pay $229, or whatever apple charge for a replacement. If you loose the phone...well then it doesn't matter if you have applecare or a case.

I just received a response from the seller about the $399.99 pricetag. They are currently out of stock until tomorrow, so instead of ending the auction they just made the price ridiculously high so no one would buy it.

You were talking about replacing a damaged phone, right? So the cost of the phone if you break it without a case, correct?

If you have the phone, even if it is in pieces, they will replace the phone for $229 if it is a i5. The 4s replacement price was $200...I know I had to have mine replaced after fishing it out of a lake. That is their policy.

This case doesn't look too bad. I am thinking about the above, I also am thinking about a grove or twig case.

I'd like a metal bumper case that doesn't kill signal...but the element case is way too expensive.

I might go nekkid, the only thing that does worry me is scratching the camera glass on flat surfaces!

The new lens cover on the 5 is sapphire crystal, it's gonna be pretty hard to scratch that.
This is the same type of crystal used in the best watches. Like Cartier, Rolex.

eBay of course. Having the Apple logo cutout has been a must for me since I had the 3G. Although I have been trying others just to get a feel for the materials. This case does look very promising.

I know what you mean. I have ordered around 10 from eBay. They are only like $5 on average, but I seem to be really picky with the iPhone 5. Beauty needs beauty.

Careful with these, grit will get behind the clear plastic and scar the band, especially the corners.
