Design is how something works, not how it looks.

You can't design a product by saying, take away the notch, get rid of the camera bump and have less bezels. Thats not how Design descisions are made.

You might aswell say, make it thinner, lighter but make the battery last 2 weeks on one charge.

No notch although that really doesn't bother me much. At least make it a little smaller.

Flush rear camera and make it horizontal. The vertical hump is just fugly. The 7 Plus had the ugly hump last year but it looks like a beauty queen along with the 8 Plus next to the X's rear.

And don't attach the rear glass to the entire shell! Actually, forget wireless charging! Give us aluminum rears back!

I can't believe I have to go back to a matte black iPhone 7 with the highest SAR/EMF to get the right size and matte rear again.

This is a software change, but I don't want to have to swipe after FaceID unlocks the phone: just go straight to the Home screen.

This is a software change but I think a simple one. I am noticing the black bar that is the new home button is leaving a mark behind on the OLED screen. It’s not a burn in, but it’s a very dark dar that if you slowly move the app up you can see the screen mark from the black bar. I think Apple can make it not be there all the time or make the bar not as dark.

go to the App Store.. search for an app called Notcho

it looks like this on the X:

...they quite literally did what you said they're not allowed to do.. further, the function of the app is to create wallpapers for iPhone X that disguise the notch..

those aren't rules.. they are guidelines.. big difference.
And most importantly, it looks like *****.
