As you may or may not know you can give your iDevice a custom name. I always give mine names from Greek mythology. So, I named my iPhone 6 Plus Helios. Why? Because Helios is the god who was depicted in the statue known commonly as the Collossus of Rhodes. You know. Because it's really big.

Nobody sane names thier phones  too creepy

Not really. I have a lot of iDevices including a couple of old iPhones that appear on my wi-fi network. I like them to have names so I can keep track of them. It's neither creepy nor insane.

It's not a fail because it's not a joke.

I think I love you.

In that case you have also made a very wise choice.

Supernova, much better than "my name iphone"

"Owner's" iPhone always strikes me as very Microsoft, so that BS has to get changed.

----------

Well I've never names my personal electronics or anything that wasn't alive....

It's an option in iTunes. It isn't like I'm just giving it a name like a baby or something. It's the name that shows up on the wi-fi network, in iTunes and so forth.
