which is great. But if I'm sitting on my sofa having an on-off conversation via messenger or something, then the phone lighting up is a nicer way for me to interact with it than checking my watch to see what that notification is, and then picking the phone up.

the option would be nice rather than Apple deciding what is best for us.

Mirror notifications from phone on/off
Notifications only on watch on/off

I agree that options are always better than no options, but in this case I definitely prefer the way Apple does it. If I am using my iPhone I will get a notification there when I have a new message. If I am not using my iPhone (it is locked and in my pocket or on my desk/table) the notification will go to my watch. For me it is always better to get the notification on the watch unless my iPhone is unlocked and in use. I still like seeing the notifications in the notification area on both devices, but the primary reason I bought the watch was so it could be my silent notification center.

Normally, I don't mind this. However, when I am on call, if a server goes down, I don't want to have to rely on feeling a tap on my wrist. I would like my phone to provide a sound/screen on notification, as well as my watch providing a haptac/sound notification. Some texts are more important than others....

If you have a Mac.. Most people don't (although I did very much enjoy pushbullet on android popping notifications to my PC)

Ive got a new pet hate.

On the banking app i have it only displays one account, but i have 3 accounts with that bank!
I have no way to define which account i get data about.

What a shame you only had it for such a short time to fully experience it, as a result you're not really in a position to offer any valid opinion. Should've held on, you've missed out on so much.
Who made you the judge?

You have no idea what you're talking about!

I must say this post you've made, reveals more about who you are... than you may have intended to let slip out.

Not really a problem with the AW itself, but with the app's developer and/or the bank's specs for the app's functions.

I'll add this:

Force Touch.

I love it myself, though. It effectively adds up to four buttons without complicating the hardware design. If I'm curious about whether an app has any further functions, I can FT the screen, and it'll respond. Even if the app doesn't include any FT options, the display "bounces", letting me know that it accepted my input. And, here's the best part: I don't lose my place in my current app -- so it never hurts to at least try it.

What do I hate about it, though? Well, I could swear that half the complaints about usability come from people who hadn't even tried using FT.

The problem with it is that it's a hidden interface control. No matter how many instructional videos Apple produces, or how many reviews get posted on YouTube, people still forget that FT exists. They look for a visible button (hardware or software), or a swipe input, or at least something that they're familiar with.

For example, someone complained about how it takes a bunch of swipes in Workout to get to the screen where they can End their workout. Another forum member reminded them that they could Force Touch instead, and the response was, "Oh, I hadn't even thought of that."

I still contend that it's a great feature. I don't know how to make it more discoverable.

I beg to differ - the apps are not there, and those that are, are lacking basic functionality and integration - thats the problem..

Other apps are much more configurable (Weather, for one), so it's really up to the developer of your bank's app to step up and fix it.

Slowness of some apps (yes, even native ones) & battery life (I've got a 38mm and very rarely end the day these days above 15%). If it wasn't for the fact that Apple pay is so damn handy, I'd be less enthused with mine!

i just almost missed a calendar reminder because I was getting a bunch of email notifications so nearly ignored it. Phone calls ring the phone and watch so I think calendar alerts should too.

Like others have said; speed. I'll tap to start a workout, then I tap again because I don't think it registered, then it finally lags into a workout. Same with saving it. I press save then like 15 seconds later it says saved.

Deleting messages is a pain (swipe left, says Trash, then make sure the Confirm button has fully shown otherwise it wont recognize your tap. It should reflect what open threads I have on Messages for my iPhone. Delete a thread on my iPhone, it should auto sync and delete on the watch.

Activity tracking seems off with my watch vs my gfs watch. Most of the time, we walk together and my watch will have more exercise minutes than her (no workout selected).

Also, it's stupid when the icons disappear and it's just a gray circle showing. wtf.

So many issues I find. Apple, please give me a job already as a real world QA tester. :(

I hate nothing about the watch!

I could see a few areas of improvement, but for the most part it does what I expected it to do and more.

slowwwww.... and battery could be a little better.

all can be solved by non-bloated software. maybe hire some pebble devs?

It'll automatically save after you've ended the workout. Tap End (whether swiping all the way left or via Force Touch) and leave it alone. It'll save the workout session to the phone after a bit.

I agree, it should at least have the option of reflecting message threads. I'm satisfied that one device can be a backup for the other if I accidentally delete a message. I thought old messages auto-deleted from the watch, too; but just now, I proved myself wrong by going back more than two weeks in messages with my wife.

See if they give the same results if you trade watches, like if her watch gives you as many exercise minutes when you wear it. My wife doesn't have one, though, so I can't test this for myself.

Deleting text messages! I wish Apple would fix this. I've got two Mac's, an iPad, an iPhone and the Apple Watch. I have to delete messages off all devices rather than them sync some how. But on the Apple Watch it is really irritating. You swipe and press delete, then there is this pause of a second or so before the confirm button pops up. It drives me insane. Also not having the ability to select several messages from different recipients and delete them all together is annoying.

I wouldn't be with out it once. I forgot it one day and I found that I'd missed a bunch of calls and notifications as I wasn't getting the little buzz on my wrist.

I do like the fact that my phone is always on silent yet the watch makes noises (if its not in silent mode) so I don't miss things.

I wish there was a way to give a verbal command to send dictated text messages. Like saying "SendSend" or something. Sometimes a text will pop up when I'm driving and I can easily dictate an answer but it would not be safe to take attention from the road to fiddle around pushing a button on the watch display to send it. If that feature already does in fact exist I don't know how to use it.

I don't know if it's just my watch or something about my circumstances but wrist raise to display isn't as precise as it was when I first got my watch.

And Shazam no longer seems to work at all, but that could be the app.

Otherwise I quite like my Apple Watch. As time has gone by I find it more comfortable than ever to wear and I've grown very fond of the Sport band collection and am slowly acquiring all the colors. Whenever a gift giving occasion comes up and I'm asked what I want, I specify a new color sport band. So I know my family is thrilled I have this watch because it makes so easy to know what to get me.

You don't have to press the Digital Crown to make Siri send the dictated text message. Just wait for it to time out.

It does? Okay I'll try it next time. I did think it used to but the last few times I've tried it wouldn't go out. So I've been pulling out my iPhone if my responses have to be anything other than canned selections.

You actually know for a fact that it doesn't go out?

I've seen a lot of threads asking how to make Siri send the dictated text messages. Basically, when Siri times out (when the screen goes off), she sends them automatically.

You can make Siri time out immediately by pressing the crown.

Speed and reliability.

Unlike most other Apple products, I'm never completely confident that it will work as I expect.

Glances often don't update.
Apps sometimes don't open.
Complications don't update.
If apps do load they are slow.

same list for me add that siri only actually work like 1/2 the time.
