Fairplay is not fair.

I hate the closed Fairplay DRM technology Apple uses to protect AAC files, in this case Apple applies the same corrupt monopoly strategy as M$.

The music biz would never allow for non-protected songs. Just be glad it's not WMA because AAC sounds a lot better. Or simply buy CDs instead of buying on-line.

I hate the fact that Apple has announced a transition to Intel processors. I no longer recommend purchasing a new Apple, only used machines. Ultimately, it forces a platform transition on me... to Linux, probably; for I have vowed to never purchase a machine with an Intel CPU.

The thing i dont like about my computer is that to get a migial tv tuner I have to get a computer that originaly had a G4 and that Apple video player doesnt work in OS X.

It is an audio copying program for Windows that produces the best music files of any app

What do you mean by "best"? Is something like Apple Lossless not "best"?

Apple is not the one to blame for that situation. Protection for retail downloaded songs would (and will) exist whether Apple is the vendor or anyone else. The goal now is to make that as easy, unobtrusive, and high quality as possible. :)

What I hate about my eMac!

What hate about my eMac:

1. It doesn't have internet so I use it for everything but that. Have to use my mom's Dell! :(

2. I can't play any Need For Speed games on my eMac. Once again, I have to use my mom's Dell! :(

These aren't my eMacs fault. Mostly my mom and dad (won't let me get internet in my room; long story) and being completely addicted to my NFS games.

i hate that my GPS doesnt work with my PB (or any mac for that matter) i had an old PIII wintel machine i used to load stuff to my GPS but that fried so the only thing i have left is a really really old PII wintel box. It works, but its really really really slow. I guess it doesnt help that my GPS connects with a serial port :-/ some thing apple has not used in a really really long time! If the PII ever gives out then ill have to buy a new windows machine, YIKES!!! Or maybe someone will come out with some good GPS software for the mac at some point!

I sometimes get annoyed by the keyboard marks that appear on the Lombard screen, and the lack of Firewire target-disk mode on the B+W G3.
Also thre Lombard will get insanely hot before the fan comes on, and when it does come on, it's really loud (not as loud as a Pismo, I've noticed, but still loud...). And also, I don't like the annoying metallic ressonance that the G3's CPU fan creates sometimes... but I suppose I can't really complain about that one because I put the fan there (part of the price you pay for overclocking...)

But on the plus side, the Lombard has the best set of speakers I,ve ever heard in a laptop, and the Lombard and the B+W G3 are also the two sexiest looking Mac's ever... and they're still really fast and usable, especially considering they're going on 6 years old. In fact, I use the G3 for a lot of DV and graphics related work, oh and gaming... it handles all this perfectly!

What I hate most about Macs is the stigma attached to them. Far too many people go "Ergh, Macs. Loser!" But thankfully with iPods, people are now starting to test out OS X and realise it is Windows which is "Ergh!"-worthy.

Apart from that, I have no issues with Macs.

Yeah, the "ergh! a Mac..." stigma pisses me off to... but opening up a deadly PC virus on my powerbook and having it show up as nothing but a mere harmless text file always shuts up the ignorant antihammer PC scum...

And overall Apple seems to have the interests of both the music industry and consumer balanced with their protection scheme.

No Alt or CTRL keys on the right side of the pbook (I'm a lefty - and consider this to be discrimination ;) )

I hate that photoshop in windows has more keystroke commands than in the mac version.

I hate the fact that we get totally ripped off here in SA with regards to Apple prices.

I do not hate anything about the Mac. What I do hate is the fact that I have spent way more time at the computer after getting the Mac in May that I ever did on the PC at home before that.

but how much less in front of the tv?

Wow, that's dumb. New machines still have PPC.

ever tried to do this from VPC?? I know VPC is slow... but it acts like a PIII 600mhz on my G5... wich schould be sufficient to run your prog... something to try? you don't need to buy a new/2nd hand PC to do this... ok it would be nice if those programmers would allso program for mac... and not only for windows...

sorry forgot to read the 'serial' issue... most new GPS systems work with flashcards... or dvd's... but the last type doesn't need a pc to setup off course ;)

I hate the amount of heat my iMac G5 produces. CPU temp is usually around 65 degrees Celsius. When it wakes up from sleep or shutdown it's only at like 50, and the computer works at full speed. It then just heats up gradually even if I'm not doing anything, even if it's on screensaver. Apple really screwed up on the iMac G5's cooling. The back of my iMac feels like an oven. I've been contemplating sticking one of those laptop coolers on the back of my iMac. But I can think of a feasible way to make it stay.

I assume you're big into gaming or do a lot of pro video work? I could see the 5200 being a bit lacking for those types of applications, but for everything else I find the card to be perfectly fine.

Yes. And I hate that I can't copy audio files from my iPod to my Powerbook (at least not easily). Really nasty, since my last Powerbook was stolen.

2.) I hate that Apple didn't label the keys of the keyboard completely on my Powerbook.

3.) I hate to have only one mouse button :)

4.) I hate it when I try to scroll down using my trackpad and the Powerbook accidentally recognizes this as scroll left (which is equivalent to "back" in my Browser).

5.) I hate that there seems to be no full screen mode for single photos in iPhoto (or am I just too stupid to find it?). Don't wanna run a slide show each time.

6.) I hate that my Superdrive doesn't support Dual-Layer, though it cost 4 times as much as Dual-Layer drives.

Hmm.. can't think of anything else at the moment.

That sounds like a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. They'll still be Apple's machines!

1. My university sent me some software that is Windoze only, so I have to work on a lousy PC to finish the course.

There is virtual PC... I imagine with your iMac you probably could run whatever application at a reasonable speed.

2. I wanted Audigy2 USB 2.0 5.1 external sound card. No! That is not mac compatible, and the best I can find is M-audio USB 1 something!

Have you looking into Griffin Technology's FireWave? FW400 5.1 external sound card. (linky)

I hate Apple and ISVs making software that only runs on the latest version of the OS.

Like, you can only install Java 1.5 on Tiger. Totally insane!
