Mainly interactions with family and friends. Also FB, Instagram, and Pinterest. Then different topics that interest me via Tapatalk. Banking. Paying bills. Music. Shopping. Then everything else I would use a computer for.
No games though.

I love it when the 'higher than thou' swoop in to assume the work ethic of others based on their listing of what they do with their phones. As if those who work an 8+ hour day, in which they, like myself, are awake for 19 of the 24 hours, couldn't possibly find time to use our phones other than while at work. You know, such as perusing forums enough to amass thousands upon thousands of comments in a year's time o_O:D

i work full time and get to play on my phone all day, and management is fine with it. Dont feed the trolls :)

Primarily, I use my iPhone for SMS, Email, and other forms of text communication. Social media, news, and weather, and maps are my other common uses.

At the most basic level: communications and information gathering.

-Communication (Calls, text, email)
-Music
-Keeping track of things (workouts, packages)
-Browsing
-Siri (Setting alarms, setting reminders, doing things while I'm driving)
-Games

In approximately this order:

Texting
music streaming
video streaming
checking email
social media
phone calls
Apple pay
reading news

Texting and calling. Use my iPod touch or iPad for the other stuff. I also use the phone to pair to my Apple Watch.

I've been looking to use Apple Pay. Do you just need to put the phone near the card reader or do you need to open the wallet app first?

From the lock screen I double tap the home button and I put it near the reader with my finger on the home button. It usually works pretty well but sometimes I had to do it twice because the reader doesn't always pick it up the first time. Works really well at Trader Joes which is where I do almost all my grocery shopping. The readers at Whole Foods are a little less reliable in my area.
