The platform stinks. It's been the same since 2007. The apps have gotten better but more or less how we use the touchscreen really hasn't blown us away. It's still the same press on a box and the app loads. It's still the same hit letters with your thumbs to send a message. I'd like to see some software innovation - or even hardware - that changes how we do things on a mobile platform.

I figure that's probably too advanced so what do I not like about the current iPhone? The battery life absolutely blows. At one point I thought a full day battery would be nice but it's going to be 2015 by the time I buy my next phone. We should have full week batteries by now! :D

Battery life is more than good for me.

I just want a little larger screen and I do not mean they need to make it longer again. It needs to be a normal aspect ratio screen size.

I would comment on the industrial design. I would like the new finger print scanning home button imbedded in/under the screen. This would provide a longer screen view without changing the case size.

Thats the same for all phones. What innovation do you want?

I have a 5, the battery life stinks, it was not great in iOS 6 and it's worse in iOS 7. I have even turned off/tweaked stuff.

My 4 had better battery life.

This would be my #1 complaint.

Beyond that, no real complaints, although I would like see a bigger screen in the next round of iPhones.

I'm with all you guys and the battery life. I really hope the next iPhone isn't any thinner. The 5/5s is thin enough in my opinion and trying to cut it down more might just make it less comfortable in the hand. I loved the thickness of the 4/4S personally. And if the next one has a 4.7" screen I'll be one happy guy.

...

Just out of curiosity, why is the screen size okay now but in an additional 8-18 months it won't be?

Not reading much on my 5, so I can hold out until my contract expires next year. I'll see if the 6s is viable as far as notes, quick reading etc. then. And I will probably have another iPad too.

The iPhone is the only Mac product I do not feel the urge to upgrade frequently.

Larger screen, batt. life, and they charge way too much for storage memory. Seamless, expandable storage would almost be on the top of my list.

The one thing I don't like about my iPhone is, of course, the battery life. It barely lasts me the whole day. Other than that, my iPhone is great. Just hoping that Apple will somehow improve the battery life slightly.

My mobile carrier has too much control over my phone. Tethering is not enabled on my iPhone while android users can tether all they want. Also, I cannot change APN at all.

There is virtually nothing I don't like about my iPhone 5S. A larger screen would not be unwelcome but other than that it's hard to think of much.

My battery life has been totally acceptable. And if it gets low I can plug it in for 20-30 minutes when I have some downtime and it's back up to a good level. I also use a car charger when I need to do so. Finally, I carry a spare Mophie battery with me for cases when I can't plug it in.

More battery life would always be welcome of course, just like a car that gets 60 MPG and goes 1000 between fills but you're not likely to get that on a car that performs like a huge sport utility vehicle for utility and drives like a Porsche 911. The iPhone is a high performance tool and it's small so we have to be realistic in our expectations.

I switched back to iPhone from a Motorola Droid Razr last fall and I have never wished for anything more from my phone.

Even though tethering can be switched on in Android does not mean the carrier can not block it at their end.

Do you all really have that much trouble with battery life??

Exactly why I went for 5c this time around. I may try the 5s next upgrade!

Biggest thing I envy about the 5c is the curved edges. So much more comfortable in the hand. Really hope the 6 has a similar shape.

That's true, but my carrier allows tethering with android. I called them up, they told me that I have to switch to a 4g plan in order to use tether on my iphone (which i don't want, for fraction of a second faster, I have to pay 10x more for the same amount of data I'm having right now), android users can tether on any plan.

Don't care much for the battery life and if I could get a bigger screen, I'd jump on it right away. Luckily, it sounds like better battery life and a bigger screen are potentially in store for this year.
