My current job is mostly a desk job with occasional on-site visits for meetings with the distribution center staff and vendors.

So, I don't take lunch break as I would rather spend that 1 hour to work through so that I can go home earlier (which is not easy to do given the immense workload I have at my work). I am an efficiency freak and hate any wasteful thing at work (unproductive hours = reduced "calculated" per-hour earning).

I do, however, take a cup or two of cereal to get sufficient vitamin and calory. (I pour cereal from the cup into my mouth, as if I am drinking it, as that is more efficient to consume it).

At least, I can save my lunch money for something else.:)

I know. But, I think I am a dream client for any vendor as I only look for the best value for my company's money without unnecessary entertainment cost on me (no schmoozing is necessary with me, as long as he/she is doing his/her jobs to my satisfaction). I do not really seek the lunch/dinner/entertainment from my vendors (Actually, I don't even bother to take up on that offer as a principle). I look for their performance and I am very brutal when they are not up to the spec and contract specifications.

Perhaps then you are the opposite of their dream client: always focused on the product and not distracted by the frills.....

You are right on the spot. :) I could be a very tough client or good client depending on the compentency of my vendors and their reps. I have a weekly meeting with my key vendors to keep their performance level up to my expectations in person. I am on the constant contact with my vendors / suppliers every single day as I allocated about 1 to 2 hours or my work hours to vendor management every single work day. Managing one of the major airline's supply chain requires some tough love on my partners / suppliers to make the whle chain work smoothly.
