No, but it's not a bad idea if they open a special watch store.

See the things in my Sig? I'm likely to buy another Mac or iOS device in the future. Just not the watch in it's current form.

What form would you like, then?

----------

Why wouldn't they just sell as many colours as possible?

Because...future add on sales equal bodies in stores and/or shopping online that may buy more Apple loot like iPads, the new MB Air, etc while shopping for new watch bands.

Other than the black and white, the colors Apple chose for release are very odd. Neon green, Coral, and Light blue?

I guarantee they will release many more colors, but I wasn't impressed with their out-of-the-gate decisions. Seriously, the red, yellow, and dark blue should have been standard.

If they sell the red or yellow to the public I'll quite happily trade my 6 for a 6C.

I'm still curious to know how you know these bands are going to be limited?

Yeah you're right, maybe limited is the wrong word (english isn't my mother language) Maybe not limited, but definitely exclusive so far.
Changed the title, thanks.

Until a better pic comes out, I can't give an honest opinion. Judging from just the washed out picture, the shades of colors are odd choices, particularly the ones on top.

Thank you. What an ugly picture. Reminds me of the days when I owned a Blackberry.

You must be great at parties.

This isn't like a phone or an iPad. Where you introduce it, and simply say these are the accessories. It really just is a high price toy or fashion accessory. So Apple is marketing it as such.

One of the things you do in that case, is slowly roll out everything you can get for it. To build excitement. I expect Apple to slowly release different bands, different colors over the next year.

(And don't expect these bands to work on the next watch. I expect them to come up with a slightly different way of the bands being swapped on the next watch. Forcing you to buy a different watch, and a new set of bands each year.)

They'd be burned at the stake if they did that. They may want to, but I think they have enough sense to stick with the current form factor for a few gens.

I agree the bands are exclusive to the Edition (due to the gold pins). They're not likely to offer the more exotic colors for the Sport collection if they want to maintain the exclusivity of the higher models.

Every flaming colour so far but pink.

(dont even palm me off with Apples claim of the current sport choice of "pink" )

Which would be extremely frustrating if true. Kinda ironic that the Edition model would have more than 3x Sport band choices than the SPORT model. I really hope at least some of these come without the gold pin!

Except it doesn't. Those were likely just test samples and they ultimately settled on just two colors (white and black) to be sold retail. Even so, they're not likely to make available the red Sport strap in order to maintain the exclusivity of the bright red Modern Buckle, which many people immediately recognize as the $17,000 Apple Watch.

"If true."

I agree we may not see any of these become available to the public, but I was just stating my hopefulness. It's clear lots of people like more color choices, and I think it's safe to assume Apple is bound to create more straps and colors down the road, even if they aren't these.

Are you so self-important that you think anyone else cares what you think? I mean, seriously. It's borderline narcissistic. Someone would lock you up in a mental institution if you walked in to a store and just yelled that out.

A better example would be if you would walk in to a Tesla dealership and announce "I'm not buying one of these until they have 1,000 mile range". The salespeople would look at you like you were insane. Which you are. You reek of someone trying to make themselves feel better about their choice to not get an Apple Watch. You have no constructive criticism, you just came in and said "I'm not getting one so I don't care." We don't care that you don't care. Leave this thread and don't come back.

I've been a supporter for PRODUCT(RED) for years
I think I will probably get the red one to match with my space grey watch sport and it must be a perfect match!

LOL, calm down. It's my dry British sense of humour.

If it's offered in later generations, I'm sure I'd opt for the space black stainless steel Apple Watch with the matching black Milanese loop.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple announces a (PRODUCT) RED version of the sports band later this year.

Black and Gold? — they already have this... unfortunately prices start at $10,000

Seen a black Milanese looking one on eBay.

I am thanks. Can I ask what that has to do with the Apple Watch?

Minimum of a weeks battery life.

A link bracelet that costs significantly less than the obscene £379 Apple charge.

It has to do with how miserable you come across as. I'm literally more depressed now from reading your posts.

I'd prep for a long wait unless battery tech becomes radically better and cheaper all of a sudden.

All these wearables with such long battery life run minimal programming on B&W screens. It's like comparing a B&W CRT monitor to color an LED monitor and wondering why the LED isn't cheaper than the CRT even through the LED is color and 1080p. Or asking why you cannot get standby battery power as good as you got on your old Nokia candy bar dumb phone in a smart phone...even though current smart phones are handheld computers that demand more battery power.

I'm not sure why a stainless steel band that is self adjusting without tools being 449 USD is so surprising. This is Apple, after all.

I'm sure there will be cheaper 3rd party link bracelets.

I didn't notice the watch bands, only the fact that the lady appears to not be wearing pants or a skirt.

Found this image which has the original woman and Jony in I so assume something must be official about it
