I don't mind it at all. It is a significant change and definitely looks more modern to me. With the swoosh part making a stylised "P" it reminds me of this (in need of revamping/modernising) corporate logo;

I hate everything about the new cans. They changed the actual Pepsi logo, AND that circle-y logo that goes along with it! Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!

Crap like the old logo, Coke FTW!

EDIT: Although, to everyone saying Coke tastes horrible and Pepsi is better, you should know that it's been proven that they taste the same and it's all about the marketing.

Performed a blind taste-test once - and all 3 of us were able to tell who's who.

You need better taste buds. :D

I love the new minimalist design. The logo by itself is OK, but the complete package is great.

How has it been proven? How do you prove that a taste is identical? I don't believe that an extremely obvious difference in taste is all in my head. It was very miniscule, I could believe it's placebo, but people try to trick me all the time, because they know I refuse to drink Pepsi. It's never worked. Ever.

They done a blind taste test and they also showed the person the advertising for each company... For example, they showed him the advertising for Coke while he was drinking the Pepsi (from a unmarked bottle) then they asked him what drink he was drinking, and vice versa, and a few more things like that and they concluded that for the majority of the tests, the drink he preferred was dependent on the advert he was watching.

I've read that study. I guess it's just hard for me to believe when people I know constantly bring me "a coke" in a glass, when it's actually pepsi (by constantly, I mean it's happened about 12 times or so in the past year and a half), and I've always been able to tell when it's pepsi.

I always know too. Pepsi is disgusting, especially diet Pepsi. There a big difference between that and diet Coke.

Just like the Pepsi Logo, the MTN Dew Logo is equally hideous.

I bring that up today, because today is the first day that I saw the new mtn dew logo in person. It now looks like a stupid knock-off brand.

Stupid knock-offs.:apple:

So, here it is, nearly a year later - and I still hate it. Maybe not as much, because it has kind of been around now for a little while - but still don't like it.:apple:

I will say, here in the UK, the logo is still the old classic one, so it must only be US customers who are getting the poor design.

The new logo looks like rubbish to me. The old logo had symmetry and a sort of yin-yang motif. I can't think of anything good to say about the new logo.

The best logo I've come across is the FedEx logo: simple, elegant and it has an easter egg in it. It wasn't until I noticed the hidden design in the logo that it became my all time favorite. Look at the E-X part to find the easter egg.
