I guess you haven't heard...

there's a class action bc they made iPhones slow

Apple always makes older iPhones slow so u will buy the new one.

That way they can make more money boost their stock and Tim can look good when the board grills him year end

The lawsuit will be thrown out just like the one before it. All you said is assertion without one shred of court based proof. As I said, if you do not like the way Apple does business, do not buy their products. No one forced you to buy an iPhone. Go get an Android and leave us alone to enjoy these phones without constant Apple bashing.

Part of me thinks Apple will get rid of Home button and make the bezels smaller. In addition to the new design will be the removal of the headphone jack and promote higher quality digital audio.
I think this version is going to go big with audio. I think the work of the specialist Tomlinson H that Apple hired and the other DAC specialist is gonna show in the coming model. Here's the TH guy https://www.macrumors.com/2011/05/04/apple-reportedly-hires-audio-pioneer-tomlinson-holman/
Can't seem to find the article the DAC guy, but they both seem to be a perfect fit with the new rumors.

Just because some idiot wants to sue, doesn't mean they are right or have a case. Let's wait and see what judge says.

Let's all head over to android forum and bash android phones. Meet you there.
[doublepost=1452601528][/doublepost]Nah, on second thought nj1266, no reason to go bash android phones on android central. Unlike a few of these android users, I'm happy with my iPhone and don't need to compensate for a poor decision of phone choice by constantly bashing other people's choices.

Consider their comments as white noise, as they are never going to stop. Won't even comment on their pathetic attempts. Not sure why it bugs em so much that We like our iPhone's. Insecurities I guess, or like the rumors say, they are paid shills.

Actually there's a LOT of people bashing Android phones on Android Central, in particular Samsung ones. (I'm one of them. I have a massive grudge against Samsung. Maybe I'll forgive them when they're bankrupt. MAYBE.)

It is possible to like a piece of technology but see its shortcomings.

Sure that's possible, but when someone states they have a massive grudge, and take every opportunity to bash something to point of bankruptcy. That goes to more than seeing shortcominings.

I guess I see these forums as tools to help each other out with issues, problems, and helpful suggestions, and occasional humor. Perhaps a separate area for people to vent and trash other people's choices might be in order. Call it "Vent Forum". Place people could go to complain about injustices life has presented them with. And trash on other phone choices people make.

Selling point? Apple Logo.
PR point? Wireless. Charging, audio. Apple will push it has the most wireless phone ever.

I'll keep this very short as it's technically off-topic, but I have never had a phone worse than Galaxy S III, and I have made... questionable phone decisions in the past. S III almost cost me disability benefits by spontaneously bricking at night and not waking me up in the morning for the final doctor meeting. Also cost me lots of data as at this point you couldn't properly back an Android device up without rooting it. I am very happy with my Z3 Compact now, but iPhone's backup and restore is unparalleled (although I did read posts here from users who had very different experiences recently... my last iPhone was 5).

I don't think Apple can win me over no matter what they do with iPhone 7, because I want/need things that they just won't provide. I want a microSD slot, water- and especially dirtproofing, 3.5mm jack which is apparently about to leave us, 7+ hour screen time. I don't want thinness, premium price for a 16 GB model and wireless earbuds. I love how TouchID works and from phones I had a chance to play with none gets remotely close. I liked very much how sync worked with iPhone 5. There are things I like about Xperia specifically, about Android, about iOS as I remember it. There was a time I thought I'd never switch to Android. So I am never saying never. Give me an entry model with 64 GB, water and dustproof and with on-screen widgets and watch me switch back to iOS. Won't happen, but dreaming is free.

If we lose 3.5mm hoping a selling point is water resistance/proofing. Also wireless charging would be great but not holding my breath.

If 3.5mm goes I might end up holding onto my 6s plus for two whole years, unless apple gives me something enjoyable from left field. Longest I've lasted was 14 months due to an anticipated carrier change lol.

I bet they'll release 3 iPhones for the 10 iPhone! Or maybe 10 models/styles/colors to choose from. That would be crazy. I want 4" I love my 6 but even now I'm realizing it's not nearly as form comfortable as the iPhone 4

I don't think the tech is quite there yet but at this time my ideal iPhone would look like this:
- No ports at all: wireless charging, bluetooth headphones. I wouldn't even care if there was no lightning port.
- Waterproof
- Get rid of the metal and go with something really indestructible like carbon fiber. Also go with that indestructible glass from that crazy motorola phone. I would love to be able to enjoy the beauty of an Apple designed phone without a case and without worrying about breaking it. An beautiful, indestructible phone? Sign me up!
-Touch ID integrated into screen, close to zero bezels all around
-Make the phone a tad thicker so there's no camera bulge and increase the battery size.

i want a black iPhone with Golden parts ... to match the golden MacBook
and hope it will be waterproof as well. getting rid of the Home Button would be neat but i am not sure the technology is advanced enough to put the TouchID inside the screen

I can definitely see them possibly adding more colors. People love the customization. At the end of the day, it is the Apple logo that is selling. Although wireless charging would be awesome.

I'm thinking they will save any new color for the "S" version like they have been doing since the 5s. They love to save any reason for people to upgrade to the "S" version, even if just for the color. Personally, I'm hoping for the same blue color that the 6th generation iPod touch comes in.

Yes that blue is very sharp. Also a red would be very bold with a black face.

Yeah I agree. People eat that color thing up which works even better in there favor when selling the 'S' version.

iPhone 3G: 3G connectivity
iPhone 4: new design architecture/Retina display
iPhone 5: LTE
iPhone 6: bigger screens
iPhone 7: ?

So far, I would say the iPhone 4 was the iPhone with the most "surprise features" (not counting the leak). For the others, we knew what was coming.

The iPhone 7 rumors are all over the place, so it's kind of nice not to know exactly what to expect!

EDIT: It better be a good one, it's the 10th iPhone.
More color

New design, thinner, no headphone jack, waterproof, wireless charging (so you can charge and listen to music at the same time), 3D Touch 2.0(?), better display, hopefully open NFC to anything! etc.
I doubt about the waterproof part

I agree, blue and red would be awesome additions. If they ever come to the iPhone, I hope they include a black panel rather than a white one, since those colors would look much cooler in black (in my opinion).

Yep, the new colors are always the hot-sellers on release day.

Thinking on the blue and red. The iridescent deep metallic shades. That would be a very hard choice to make.

Adding colors is a huge worldwide logistic supply issue. Guessing the right mix to manufacture, makes me shudder thinking about it.

You're absolutely right. I'm hoping that they find a way to make things work because they currently have so many SKUs (4 different colors, 3 different storage capacities, plus the different models for carriers).

I also hope that they don't use these cool colors only for the rumored new 4" iPhone.

Wish you hadn't said that. They just might make colors for the 4 inch only, dang.

They need to get the phone more universal, all radios, all carriers on every phone. Chips are getting smaller and more consolidated to allow this.

I know, it's not what I what, but what I bet they will do (just like with the 5c's colors). I don't really like that the iPhone's colors are sophisticated while the iPod touch gets all the awesome colors :(

And yes, they definitely do need to make the phone more universal. The rumored Intel chip might help with that.

I believe they will introduce space black to the 7. Finally a dark phone and none of this gray stuff.

Slo-mo might even get slower and it will have a true dedicated true tone flash in front.

I really hope they implement a feature where you can 3D Touch the screen while the phone is sleeping to wake it up. I know it may sound like a battery waster, but I'm sure they could implement it into one of their low energy chips or something like the Hey Siri always on feature.

That would basically be one of the last pieces to the puzzle of removing the home button entirely (except implementing Touch ID into the screen)
