After I got my MBA last year I hardly use my iPad any more.
Just so much nicer to open the screen and it stays up. No balancing or holding, everything is faster to do as well, at least for me.
Only the kids use it now.

I couldn't agree more. Every task is faster, and you can just rest it on your lap or table to read or watch instead of having to hold it.

And the MBA doesn't get very hot either, in fact it stays pretty cool to the touch. That's a big factor for some.

Very little to be honest.

I think the main reason I have it is to stream video content to my ATV. Kind of an expensive remote control.

I use my iPad when my phone is charging. Since I have gotten the six plus, it has not been very often. I also use it to read music off of. I wish they would come out with an iPad pro, so I could actually consolidate my MacBook and iPad into one device. I don't really need a MacBook other than to write up homework assignments and the iPad screen is just too small to replace it.

iPhone for mobile on the go.

MacBook Pro on the desk.

iPad Mini 2 around the house & in bed. Great screen & portability with excellent battery life. This is my cheapest iDevice that gets used the most lol! Well worth the $197 (Black Friday deal) investment!

I have an iMac and iPhone. I use my iPad Air 2 for reading books and magazines, for web surfing while in bed.

Probably 1 too many iPads...

Let's see, I have a 6+, an iPad Mini 3 w/ LTE, an iPad Air 2 and an MBA. Don't judge for getting the Mini 3, net of subsidy, a special coupon, the trade-in value of my iPad2 and some Black Friday special I paid like $100 out of pocket for it... Anyway, given how much I LOVE my 6+ and Air2 I would never have gotten it were it not such a ridiculous deal. I do, however, find that I use both my iPads a bit less because of the 6+. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the Air2 for reading, movies, surfing, email, social media - basically everything. But the 6+ has a gorgeous screen that's hard to put down. I use my MBA for anything requiring writing, editing, and processing, but I'm finding I may need to upgrade to a Pro because I am doing more video and sound editing than I used to and I also need to run parallels, as well as some heavy data analysis. Other than the keyboard, it's not that much more powerful than the iPad Air 2 if you use it right. I recently found I could more rapidly edit an iMovie for my son using the Air 2 than I could on my MBA... Admittedly, I definitely don't need the Mini with the 6+ as there just isn't that much of a difference. I love my Air 2 and it is my preferred device especially around the house - though I also take it to meetings for taking notes, but truth be told it's a luxury as well. If hard pressed, there's no doubt I could do everything I need to with a Macbook Pro and my 6+... BUT, not giving up my luxuries without a fight... :)

Social media and every singe film I can possibly buy. I love buying films from iTunes because I can watch on any device and play them on my TV. My personal opinion is that it's great, super easy. So yeah... Facebook and films. Works well for me.

I use my iPad to surf the web, read books (kindle ap) and check emails. It sees use mainly in bed.

iPhone is used as a phone, text and check email

iMac and MBP are use to get work done

IPad for bedroom and travel, Laptop never, Mac Pro for image & video processing, iPhone for calls/GPS/instant data & emails.

iPad actually gets more use than the rest.

I have an iPhone 5s, windows PC and iPad mini 2. I RARELY use my PC, and my iPhone is too small of a screen to do much while sitting on the couch, so that's where the mini comes in! Ill pretty much just surf the web, watch YouTube videos and play games :) I'll also bring it to school sometimes to work on :)

My iPad mini is my goto device for lunch and coffee breaks. Kindle, Safari, Games, DC Comics. The size is perfect for my bag.

I do have an iPhone 6 plus and 15" MacBook pro retina. I thought I wouldn't need my iPad air so I sold it. Two weeks later I ended up buying the iPad air 2. I would say I use my iPad air 2 75% of the time when I'm at home. The 6 plus only gets used for calls and music when at home. I use my MacBook only for productivity, gaming, printing and downloading. I'm sure if I had a smaller MacBook 13" I would probably be able to survive without my iPad air 2. I like my iPad air 2 because it's easy to use, light, good battery life and doesn't get hot on my lap. I use it for browsing, Facebook, YouTube, reading magazines on zinio and as a remote.

I don't have a MacBook, I use a windows laptop and have an iPhone 6 plus, iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 1. I don't really use my laptop often. I use my iPhone 6 plus and iPad mini 3 whilst I'm out and about and the air when I'm at home.

I use it for pages, email, webbrowsing, numbers, Lightroom, notes, calendar and photo storage.

I used it for games, watching movies and TV shows through Netflix and Amazon Prime. I also read books through the Kindle and Scribd apps. Scribd is now offering audiobooks as part of their monthly plans and I'm now using my iPad to listen to those.

I have an iPhone, a MBA and an iPad. I use the iPad for note taking and reading/studying. My iPad is my productivity device - I take it with me to lectures to take notes, write summaries, read, highlight, annotate PDFs..etc.
Now the MBA is the consumption device - for movies/tv shows/social media/music
And the iPhone is for a bit of everything on the go

When I had an iPad I used it for browsing in bed but mostly for streaming movies and tv shows while cooking. I ended up switching to an nvidia shield tablet for the wide screen (it's almost the same size when watching widescreen content), and now I also use it for gaming. The shield is amazing for gaming but the battery is awful... I wouldn't recommend it for gaming on the go, unless it's for short trips.

I will say mine gets used a little bit less now that my terrific iPhone 6 Plus is my constant companion. However I remain very happy that I do have the Air 2 and mini 2 iPads. They're very nice to use for surfing the web at home.

I have a rMBP and a rMini. I used to have an iPhone 5, but I switched to Samsung. The reason why I bought a rMini is primarily for reading. I used to read books on my iPhone, but it was too small to read through, so I decided why not get an iPad. The retina Mini was perfect for me because of the size. I don't need anything bigger than that. It's an amazing device.

I have an iphone 4s and still love that phone. I almost went for the 6 plus, but instead, used that money for the ipad air 2. The real estate on the Air 2 is obviously much more pleasing to read a book off of and browse the web versus a phone. And the screen quality is going to be a lot better than most desktop monitors out there. I had to choose between enjoying my ipaid air 2 on a comfy couch versus on a chair at a desk in front of a computer...

I'd definitely chose the Air 2.

I have a iPhone 5s, iPad 4, and a tricked out Mac mini. I use the iPad for couch, bed reading, surfing, remotes for Xfiniti X1, iTunes, and Apple TV's . Heavy work on the Mac mini and it's also media hub for the house. iPhone for calls, text. I replaced this year a MacBook with the Mac mini. First desktop in 15 years. I usually take iPad with me on the go and tether with phone.

mbp when i have heavier tasks to do
iPad when i wanna lay back and just browse/read
iPhone for all in between. iPhone gets a lot more use than the other two for obvious reasons.
